Story
Hi there, my name is Luna, I am a 4 year old spayed chihuahua mix that currently weighs about 11lbs. I am can be quite the shy girl and would do best with a family that has experience with shy dogs like me and that allows time and patience so that I can truly blossom. I am still finding my confidence, but once I get to know you, my sweet and affection side comes out and will happily give you lots of kisses. If you don't mind my smooches and appreciate the rewarding bond from a sweet little girl like me, come down and ask for more information about me! Please have everyone in the household including any resident dogs come to meet me before I go to my forever home with you.  Luna ID#A0983440 I recently visited a staff members office, and they had this to say. Luna did great in the office! She was a quiet and calm companion for the day and offered me many snuggle breaks. She liked to sit on my lap while I worked and followed me around like a tiny shadow. She's well behaved on the leash and easy to gear. She seems to be a thirsty girl and did have a few little accidents. She warmed up to me almost instantly and we became buddies quickly. Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
My Story They call me Little Orphan Annie, and just like my namesake, I’ve had quite the journey! I first arrived at the shelter as a tiny, helpless nursing pup alongside my family. Shortly after, I faced a major hurdle when I came down with a scary case of pneumonia. I needed a lot of extra love, care, and medical attention, but I am a fighter! Thanks to some incredible nursing and round-the-clock dedication, I have officially beaten the odds and am 100% healthy, thriving, and ready for my next chapter. My Personality Having overcome so much so early in life, I’ve blossomed into a resilient, joyful, and incredibly affectionate little girl. I am the perfect blend of Chihuahua sweetness and Jack Russell spunk! Dog-Friendly: Yes! I get along great with other pups and would love a furry playmate. Kid-Friendly: Yes! I do wonderfully with children and am ready to be a premier family companion. Cats: My status with cats is still a question mark, but I have plenty of love to give everyone else! My Dream Home Now that I am all healed up and my puppy energy is in full swing, I am officially searching for my ultimate forever home. I am looking for a family who will give me plenty of belly rubs, show me the world, and promise to keep me safe and loved forever. Because I am still a young puppy, my future family will need to continue my basic training so I can grow up to be the best dog I can be!   All dogs/puppies will be spayed/neutered unless spay/neuter contract is signed with additional deposit. Story
What’s black, white, and guaranteed to steal your heart? Meet Holly! This petite 7-month- old pup (just 10 lbs!) is as adorable as they come. Holly may be a little shy when you first meet her, but give her a moment and you’ll see her true self shine, sweet, gentle, and completely irresistible. She’s already showing just how resilient she is, quickly learning new things like wearing a collar and leash, exploring the yard, and even mastering stairs by day two! She sleeps soundly in her crate, has a healthy appetite, and is nearly potty trained. Holly gets along beautifully with other dogs and enjoys their company, but she’d be just as happy being your one-and-only little shadow. Whether you live in an apartment or a larger home, Holly will fit right in. She’d thrive with a patient, loving person or family who can help her continue building confidence and discovering how wonderful life can be. Holly is ready for her fresh start and a forever home filled with love, cuddles, and encouragement. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal companion who will grow more amazing every day, Holly might just be your perfect match.

Story
Hello friends! My name is Milo. I was adopted a year ago; my owner found me on the streets and took me in, even though she suffers from severe allergies to animals. She simply couldn't bear to leave me in the condition she found me in... the veterinarian, where she was told that I am approximately 4 years old. I absolutely love playing, sleeping, sunbathing, going out for walks to do my business, and getting my belly rubbed! I tend to be a very calm dog. I enjoy wearing my various outfits and getting rewarded with a treat or cookie; I even like bath timeeven when it happens right at home. I am a very sociable dog, and I happily let anyone who wishes to give me some affection pet me. However, I am now causing my owner to break out in a severe skin rash. She is heartbroken to have to let me go, but her visits to the hospital are becoming more frequent with each passing day 🐶🤍

Story
Nova is very timid and jittery, but so full of love. She is quirky and has a lot of sass (literally has the best side-eye). She loves treats and going on walks. She absolutely loves to cuddle up on the couch with her favorite human and give lots of kisses. Nova is 5 years old now and due to finances, I am unable to continue caring for her. She would thrive in a home with no other dogs and humans that will take their time to get to know her. She is very shy and avoidant with strangers and may take time to adjust so I am hoping for a home that has lots of patience and love to give. She likes to steal socks and store them in her crate! She has had her own puppies before but was spayed shortly after. She will do anything for treats-- speak, twirl, spin, sit, and give kisses.
