Meet Daisy 🌼 — the Chihuahua Mix with Reindeer Legs & a Whole Lot of Love Daisy is a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix who was adopted from a local shelter as a tiny 3-month-old pup and has been deeply loved ever since. She’s tall for a Chihuahua (think mini reindeer 🦌), and her sweet personality makes her just as special as her looks. Daisy is up for adoption through us after her loving mom made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome her — through no fault of Daisy’s own. This decision was made with Daisy’s best interest at heart, and she is ready to find a new forever family to love her just as much. Like many Chihuahuas, Daisy can be shy when first meeting new people and may take a moment to warm up. Once she does, she’s an absolute sweetheart who forms strong bonds with her people. She prefers a calmer social circle and is not a fan of cats or larger dogs, but she does well with smaller dogs. Daisy loves toys and treats, and she’s very particular about mealtime — she eats in her kennel with the door closed (a girl appreciates her routine!). She is spayed and has made great progress with leash walking; while it wasn’t her favorite thing at first, she’s now doing wonderfully with patience and consistency. Daisy is a gentle, loyal little girl looking for a loving home where she can feel safe, secure, and cherished. With a little time and understanding, she’ll reward you with endless love and devotion.

Chance was brought to us from a Central Valley shelter. He had been waiting in the shelter for 3 days after his urethra was nicked during his neuter surgery. We named him CHANCE ❤️ because that's what we wanted to give him. After several months in a loving foster home, he is now a happy, peppy and very bouncy 20lb chihuahua blend. CHANCE ❤️ enjoys and respects his canine roommates and loves socializing with his foster family and their children CHANCE ❤️ is now ready for his furever home.

Estrella is a little dog with a big personality. She is 1 year old, and we have loved having her with us. She loves to be the center of attention and will let you know she wants attention. She is a very loving dog, and she also has tons of energy. However, we sadly have to rehome her for two reasons. The first is that we have another dog, and despite all our best efforts, they do not get along. We've had her for 1 year now, and we have tried very hard to get them to get along, but it's not working, and it's been very stressful for our other dog. My other dog now has behavioral issues due to the stress she's under living with Estrella. For these reasons, we sadly are rehoming Estella. She is mostly potty trained now, but she has occasional accidents. She's spayed and has all her shots. Thanks in advance for considering our special girl.

Chihuahua Age: ≈ 4 years old Female, spayed 12 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Mara was brought into a local by someone who found her. During her evaluation by shelter staff to access her suitability for adoption to the general public, they observed some high-value resource guarding with other dogs and people. She was also difficult to handle during her vet check. This is very typical of dogs that are fearful/stressed in a scary shelter environment. Because of these observations she was deemed “unadoptable” and could only be given to a rescue group experienced with behavioral issues. When we got her to our adoption center, she bonded very quickly with the volunteers, allowing them to handle her, give her affection and attention. In her foster home with a couple of other dogs, she does some lap guarding. The dogs in the home are all fed separately and the humans don’t typically bother the dogs while they are eating. There are quick, easy and effective methods to stop lap guarding (as well as high value guarding). Mara responds well to correction. She will need an experienced adopter that can effectively manage these issues. With a little time and patience, Mara could live with other dogs her size that don’t respond negatively to her guarding behavior. Otherwise, she likes people, likes attention, good on a leash, appears to be housebroken (but not too sure about using the doggie door in her foster home, yet).
