Story
Fozzie was adopted from a local shelter back in February, when he was just 6 months old. In July, Fozzie's Mom knew something was wrong and took Fozzie to her vet. He was diagnosed with epilepsy and was put on medication. The medication has made a world of difference for Fozzie and he's living large and feeling good. But his Mom is having a hard time. To prevent Fozzie from having further seizures, he must get his two medications three times a day. Keeping Fozzie on this schedule has been challenging for his Mom, and she has decided that it's best due to his medical condition that he be rehomed to a person/family who can more easily and more reliably keep him on schedule. Here's what we know about Fozzie: 14 months old 20lbs UTD on vaccinations - good thru February 2024 Neutered Microchipped DNA test revealed the following top five breeds: 39% Chihuahua, 14% dachshund, 11% Min Pin, 8% Poodle, 5% Mini Schnauzer Good with kids, other dogs and dog savvy cats Active boy who enjoys playing fetch and going for walks, tho he is still learning leash manners Knows some basic obedience commands, such as "sit" and "down" Enjoys playing with toys Fozzie is a great companion and loves to cuddle Interested in meeting Fozzie? Story
I was adopted 6 years ago, but my daddy recently passed away and I need a new forever home. I am super sweet and LOVE to be with my person! My foster mom says I am not a barker and am completely potty-trained. I bond quickly and follow my foster mom around the house because I like to be near or on her. I LOVE walks, car rides and chew toys! I am a little apprehensive when I first meet people, but I am loyal and have so much love to give. Since I am energetic, I will need slow introductions to children. Therefore, Kimie thinks I should be in a home with older children. The jury is still as to whether I am good with cats. However, Kimie thinks that, with the proper introductions, I will get along with independent cats or cats that are accustomed to being around dogs would be ideal. Although I am apprehensive with meeting new people, I am an alpha dog. Therefore, the ideal home for me would be a home with no pets or with a submissive small dog.

Story
I am a new arrival to Kimie's Kritters Pet Rescue with my "brother", Sid. I was estimated to be about four years old and as is typical of my breed, I am a rambunctious fellow. I am being housed with other small dogs and do just fine. I have not been tested with larger dogs so, would have to have a meet and greet to determine how I would do with bigger dogs. I appear to have normal curiosity towards cats, so would also need to be cat-tested. I use a doggie door to go outside to take care of business.

Story
I am new to Kimie's Kritters and Kimie says that I am a mellow fellow and am as sweet as can be. My story is that my dad worked LOOOONG hours and his kids failed to feed me. My dad was attempting to surrender me to a shelter, but he didn't have an appointment. My rescuer just so happened to be pulling into the parking lot of the shelter as my dad was contemplating leaving me in the parking lot, so she offered to take me. He was grateful to be able to surrender me to her. Since I've been rescued, I have eaten more than I need to and have recently filled out. When around other dogs, I tend to simply avoid them as I am a submissive guy. So far, I appear to be housetrained (I use a doggie door to go outside). I have been around cats and will bark at them through the windows like I'm a tough guy. When I am in the same room as them, it is a different story and I simply ignore them. Because I was deprived of food, I still tend to guard my food, so will have to be fed separately from other dogs. I do not mind if my foster mom takes food away from me, so it is just with other dogs.

Story
Ginny and Fizz are darling little chihuahua mix puppies. We are hoping to find them a home together but would consider adopting out separately to the perfect home. They are estimated to be born in early January 2024. They likely will be around 13-15 lbs as adults. Ginny is a darling little chihuahua mix puppy. She was born in early January 2024 and is currently 8 lbs. Ginny is playful and sweet. She can be shy with new people but has shown she will warm up with slow, gentle introductions. She has plenty of puppy energy and loves to romp around the house and yard playing chase and tug with her dog buddies. She likes to play with her toys and chew bully sticks and other chewies. She enjoys shallow water and likes to splash around and lie down in the water. Ginny becomes quite bonded to her people and is cuddly and affectionate. She enjoys couch time in the evenings with her family. She likely would not do well left home alone daily for long hours. Ginny does well with other friendly dogs and prefers dogs who aren’t too large or overly rough players. She currently lives with dog savvy cats and is respectful with them. Young children would likely overwhelm her so only dog experienced, respectful children over 12 are recommended. Ginny loves playing outside in the yard and is an alert barker so no apartments for her. Ginny is doing well with house training and is trained to an exercise pen at night and when nobody is home. Ginny would do best with a family who is home the majority of the time and understands the energy and training needs of a puppy. She would enjoy a yard and a small, young dog companion to play with and keep her company when her humans are away from home. Ginny is a delightful little sweetheart who is a joy to foster. She is patiently waiting for her forever home. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
