Story
Bebe is a lovely dog who was rescued from the streets after giving birth to her adorable puppies. Although she was shy at first, she quickly warms up to new friends, especially when treats are involved! She's great with children under 13, and you can easily carry her without any fuss. Bebe enjoys saying hello to other dogs, but she's more inclined to play with those who match her gentle energy level. She prefers calm, well-mannered companions over hyperactive pups. Having lived with cats for about eight months, Bebe is perfectly comfortable around them and doesn't mind their presence at all. With a moderate energy level, she loves going for walks and is a pro on the leash. After her strolls, she's happy to curl up and snooze the day away. Bebe is non-aggressive with her food and toys, and if she needs something, she'll simply bark to let you know. She's also great in a crate during car rides and knows how to hop in and out of vehicles, as long as they're not too high for her. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle companion, Bebe would love to meet you! ##2260954##

Story
Quick Facts  Name: Seul-Ah Age: Approximately 12 years old Gender: Female Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Long-haired Chihuahua Mix Color: Brown Weight: Around 5 kg (fluctuates slightly) Health History I’m in great health, thanks to the wonderful care I’ve received. Heartworm: Tested negative on April 27, 2024. Surgeries: Neutered on October 22, 2024. Had surgery to correct patellar luxation in both knees (Grade 3), and now I can walk comfortably and happily. Dental Care: I’ve had a full dental cleaning and, though I had most of my teeth removed, it hasn’t slowed me down—I’m a pro at eating soft food! My Story I’m a gentle soul who enjoys the quieter side of life. At first, I might seem a little shy, but give me time and patience, and you’ll discover my affectionate side. I love to hop up on my hind legs and give a little dance when I’m excited to see you—it’s my special way of saying hello! On My Walks‍ I also like gentle walks in quiet areas. Busy streets can be a bit overwhelming for me, but in a serene setting, I enjoy exploring at my own pace. Sometimes loud noises or sudden movements startle me, but I feel safe when I’m with someone I trust. Life at Home I’m a polite housemate who’s already house-trained. Whether it’s a pad indoors or a nice spot outdoors, I’ve got my potty habits down. I ride quietly in a kennel and don’t mind relaxing there when needed. I might be a little protective of my meals if another dog is around—it’s just my way of saying, “This is mine!” But with humans, I’m more than happy to share and show no guarding behaviors. What Makes Me Special What makes me truly special is my quiet resilience and elegant demeanor. I’m not overly demanding for attention, but I’ll always let you know when I’m happy to see you with my signature little hop. I’m the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a calm and gentle presence. My Ideal Home I’m looking for a peaceful and loving home that matches my mellow personality. Here’s what I dream of:                •             A Quiet Environment: A serene household without too much hustle and bustle.                •             A Patient Family: Someone who understands that I need a little time to feel safe and loved.                •             Companionship: Whether it’s a calm doggy sibling or a human who enjoys relaxing days, I thrive with gentle company. Last Message If you’re searching for a sweet, soulful companion to share quiet moments with, I’d love to meet you. Let’s write the next chapter of our story together—I’m ready to be part of your world. ##2281987##

Story
Sofia is a gem of a girl – she is approximately 3 and a half years old, 17 lb mix of sugar and spice and everything nice. She is lower energy, and a bit reserved. She doesn’t run up to strangers, she’ll stand back to assess, and then is very friendly. Sofia is good with dogs and cats. She’s a quiet influence at the shelter and not a barker. Sofia was dumped near the SPCA PV sanctuary with her bestie Lucia, and wouldn’t they make an amazing duo? We’d love to adopt them together, but we can’t hold them back from finding a home that loves them if that’s not possible. While at the shelter we can’t confirm if she’s house trained, but it seems she once had a home, so we think its likely that she is. Sofia is healthy, spayed and vaccinated. Sofia is currently at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico, and will be able to fly to Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton (possibly also Vancouver island). If you think you might be the lucky home for her, write us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, or go direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw

Story
Mr Bear is a sweet and shy boy who needs a quiet home with a loving person who can help him transition to the world outside the ranch. A fenced yard is needed because Mr Bear is scared of walking on a leash. Lots of practice is needed in a secure yard first. Mr Bear loves home made food and treats, squeaky stuffies, sleeping under the covers, and loves affection. Mr Bear is approx 8-9 yrs old. He doesn’t care for dogs or cats Apply to: www.embracesociety.ca ##1988866##

Story
Hello! My name is MOCHA and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Deer head chihuahua Age: 3 years Gender: Female Weight: 9.9 lbs (4.5 kg)  Height: 34 cm (paws to top of my head) Length: 46 cm (head to butt) Current Location: MEXICO CITY RESCUE STORY - My rescue story is one of resilience and hope. Three months ago, I was found abandoned in a cardboard box outside the shelter on a rainy night, heavily pregnant and in poor condition with my daughter, Cappuccina. We were both very skinny and struggling with visible signs of scabies, likely victims of an illegal breeding facility. But I’m so grateful to the caring rescuers who brought us in. With their support, I’ve started to heal and thrive, and now I’m ready to embrace a brighter future in a loving home! Here I am with my daughter at the shelter! And here we are getting treats! We would love to stay together, but this is not necessary for adoption. TEMPERAMENT - I’m a playful pup with a heart full of curiosity! Life at the shelter can be a bit overwhelming—I don’t get to go out much, but when I do, I get super excited by all the sounds, smells, and other dogs. I’m still learning how to walk on a leash, but I promise I’m trying my best! I can be a little shy at first, especially around new people and cars zooming by, but give me just half an hour, and I’ll start to warm up and seek your affection. I love being petted! I share my space with a mix of small and medium dogs, and a big, calm buddy, and we have fun playing together. I’m not picky about food, and I’ve met cats and birds without any fuss. While I haven’t met kids yet, I’m ready to find my forever home where I can grow more confident and show you just how much love I have to give! ENERGY LEVEL - Medium - I love to play and explore, but I’m also all about those cozy snuggles and gentle cuddles! GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown.  Dogs –  Yes. I share my space with a mix of small and medium dogs, and a big, calm buddy dog, and we have fun playing together. Here I am with other dogs. Cats – Unknown.  PREY DRIVE - Unknown. Here is a video of me acting indifferent to birds while out on a walk! I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. in Canada, so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Work in progress. I haven’t had much opportunity to work on my leash skills so I will need an adopter who is happy to work with me on my leash manners. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success! Here I am on a walk! House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :) Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I am spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. My scabies have healed quickly, I have put on weight, and I am healthy and active since being at the shelter. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying North. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 (including taxes), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed.
