Xavier is a very scared chihuahua, likely due to his broken pelvis. He would like to have a foster/adopter that he can heal at home with and learn to trust.

Story
Mamas is a cute little dog that has a disease where her immune system is attacking her joints. Her paws and legs are extremely deformed. The best way to pick her up was to gently fold her bed around her like a taco and carry her outside to potty. She was very defensive to people and other dogs. The clinic worked to get her pain meds adjusted and she then started taking an interest in life but wanted absolutely no affection. It was a long road but she gradually over many months decided that pets and scratches are okay. She is now a little love bug for me. Just last month she asked my husband for some affection for the first time. She is still very protective of her bed but I`ve noticed lately that she likes hanging out with the pack and helping them bark at whatever. Her personality is cute and sassy! Mamas no longer needs carried. She resists being picked up. She is obedient but is very independent and wants to travel at her own pace. Mamas will need pain meds for the rest of her life. She gets Gabapentin, Cyclosporine and supplements that I believe helps her quality of life. Mamas is extremely shy of strangers. I think the best home for Mamas will be quiet with older people and no young kids or large dogs. They will need A LOT of patience and will want a baby that will need TLC for the rest of her life. She will never be a lap dog but we love her and she will always have a place in our home and with our pack if she doesn`t get adopted.

Story
Eek! Gus Gus here, spillin` the beans `bout my foster buddy! We`ve been tight for six whole moons now, chowin` down on all sorts of tasty treats together. Lemme tell ya, he ain`t picky `bout food—just like me, he`ll gobble up whatever`s on the menu! Now, my buddy ain`t much of a chatterbox, but he`ll let out a squeak or two when he hears some critters makin` noise. Most of the time, though, he`s quiet as a mouse, just like me sneakin` around the castle! He`s been bunkin` up with kitties and small puppers, and they get along like peas in a pod! Our home`s cozy and calm, the perfect place for a lil` mouse and his buddy. But here`s the thing you gotta know: my buddy`s got a habit of sprinklin` where he shouldn`t. He also has a little heart ticker trouble and persistant cough but dont worry though because he`s got meds to help him out! When it comes to playtime, he`s not too interested in toys, but he`ll join in once in a while, just like me with a game of hide-and-squeak!And let me tell ya, he`s the friendliest, cuddliest critter you`ll ever meet! Always up for a snuggle and a nibble of cheese. So if you`re lookin` for a companion as sweet as a crumb, my buddy`s your mouse! ???

Story
This little one is doing so much better in foster. Sookie is on some medications to help her with some spinal issues she has had causing her to not be fully in control of her hind end, they are working and she is so much better. Sookie can be a bit shy of strangers and that is what got her in some trouble in the shelter, but in foster she has done great with the other dogs, big and small. There are cats in the foster home but she is doing slow introductions so she doesn’t get overwhelmed. Due to the medications she is on, she is having a hard time with potty training, but we home when she gets to be off the meds one day, she will catch on quicker to house training! Sookie loves walks but we are taking it slow for now. She also loves sleeping in the big bed!

Story
Hi! I’m Dobby! My foster mom thinks I look just like Dobby-”The Freed House Elf`` in Harry Potter. Oh! Just like Dobby in the movies, I love socks! I’m a 1 year-old male, neutered Chiweenie. I love to play with toys and snuggle with my foster mom. I came to PACC after a dog attack left me temporarily paralyzed in my back legs. The amazing vets at PACC cared for my wounds, and Friends of PACC sponsored my physical therapy at A Loyal Companion. Check out my photos of me in my old wheelchair and in the pool for swim therapy! I no longer need the wheelchair, and I can run just as fast as any other dog. My legs are still a little weak, but my daily exercises are helping them to become strong again. I currently live with two other dogs. I love to play with small dogs. I’m currently nervous of larger dogs and some people when I first meet them. PACC’s TOP Dogs’s trainers are doing great in helping me to overcome my fears. My foster mom thinks I’d do best in a home with other small dogs. My ideal family would be one that is patient with me and understands that it might take me some time to warm up to humans. My favorite activities include going for walks/runs, sitting outside in the sun, and sleeping in my foster mom’s lap. I’m quite the cuddle bug. If you think we might be a match I would love to meet you!
