Get ready for the greatest love of your life!!! Please learn more about us and our available pets at Robin Hood Animal Rescue. In Ernie's words: 'I was adopted back in 2016 when I was just a puppy. My dad made the decision and returned me to Robin Hood Animal Rescue because his work schedule made it difficult for him to be home with me. So now I am waiting to have a family decide that I am the one who they have been wanting to love. I still am playful. I love to play hide and seek in the bedding. I do great with other dogs.' As with all our foster dogs/puppies, Ernie has been altered, microchipped, and has had his shots. Please text or call Bob at (623) 680-1170 for more information on this happy-go-lucky boy. IMPORTANT!! Due to time and staffing constraints, ALL inquiries/questions MUST BE accompanied by your completed Adoption Application (Matchmaking Questionnaire). See above for the link to the form. Any inquiries/questions sent without the completed form will NOT receive a response. Thank You for understanding. Affectionate "special needs" Ginger is 4 years old and in search of a loving home that is as special as she is. Ginger had a rough start in life and for the first year of her puppyhood she was strictly confined in a tiny crate with only a few potty breaks. As a result, she suffers from claustrophobia and is terrified of leashes. Despite all this, Ginger is a loving and friendly girl who likes nothing better than to jump up on your lap for a tummy rub, or sit beside you on the couch watching TV. She also loves sleeping in bed with you. She likes toys and chew bones and running around out in the back yard. Ginger is good with other pets and us perfectly potty trained. She uses the doggie door and never makes a mess. Ginger would be the ideal companion for someone who doesn't take their dog for a walk and just wants a friendly and loving pet to be their best friend. Her adoption fee is $125 and includes her spay and all shots.

Story
Hi! I’m Archie!  My friend and I were found wandering around in the street at night and were very confused. We were so grateful when some nice people took us in and gave us a safe place to stay. Since our owners could not be found, we are officially HADS dogs. My foster mom says I’m the sweetest boy in the world. I love to give kisses and nose nibbles, and get my belly rubbed. I’m having a great time with my foster siblings, who are other small dogs. I haven’t met any cats or kids yet, but I’m such a nice guy, I’m sure I’d love them too. I’m crate trained and walk pretty good on a leash too! I’d love to find a furever home with people who are looking for a calm and gentle companion. Archie is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $350 helps offset medical fees. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think Archie could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application at:     https://www.helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application/ .     *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.  November 20, 2024, 11:31 pm

Story
Meet Buffy, a 4-year-old, 12 lb chi mix looking for her forever home!   Background: For several days, Buffy and her pal Greta were running around terrified and unable to be caught by concerned neighbors. HARTT stepped in to help trap these girls and they made their way to loving foster homes where they await forever homes. Personality: Buffy is a snuggle pro who loves to relax. She is a laid back and loving girl who can’t get enough of her favorite people. She follows her foster mom all around and loves to lay beside her whenever possible. Overall, she is an easy dog who just wants to find her best friend. Could that be you?  Health: Buffy is up to date on all vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.   Training: Buffy is house-trained, crate-trained, and uses a dog door. She is not leashed trained.  Ideal Home: Buffy would love a home where she isn’t left alone too much. We are unsure how she is around small children. She coexists with other dogs but really loves to be with her people and would prefer not to share. She exhibits jealousy when other dogs seek attention from her people and would do best as the only dog in the home. Since Buffy doesn’t enjoy leash walks, a secure, fenced-in yard is a must to keep her safe.   Adoption Requirements: Buffy’s adoption fee is $350. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think she could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application  *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Super sweet cuddle buddy! Mostly blind, but loves attention. Can use stairs and doggie door once he learns were they are. Gets along good with other calm dogs, but hyper dogs and puppies move too fast and scare him. Not recommended to live with young kids for the same reason. He is a quiet dog, usually only barking to let you know he wants back inside. Contact his foster mom today to meet this lovable little guy! Foster mom: 601-479-2601

Story
Meet Adonis! Adonis is currently staying at Chi Town Rescue while waiting for a furever or foster home. Adonis is an approximately four-year-old Chihuahua/Min-Pin mix. Adonis came from a hoarder situation, and as such, never had much socialization with people. He can be shy and timid when meeting a new person, but has made great strides with those he knows. When Adonis is comfortable with a person, he will prance around them "flirting" and seeking attention. When he's really comfortable with you, he will seek out head scratches/pets (the side of his face is his favorite). This can take some time, and anyone getting to know Adonis should realize that he won't be a lap dog overnight, if ever. Adonis is looking for a family that will love and accept him just the way he is. Adonis does great with other little dogs and loves to run and play. He especially loves to chase toys! Adonis has a fun, moderate energy level and would love a backyard to soak up sunshine and zoom around. He will do best in a patient home with experience helping undersocialized dogs. He would love a doggy buddy in his new home, and must go to a home with a secure and fenced backyard.  If you would like to meet Adonis, please contact Chi Town Rescue at chitownrescue@gmail.com for a meet and greet appointment.          November 3, 2024, 4:58 pm

Story
Meet Uno! Uno came to Chi Town Rescue as part of a hoarding situation and is now looking for his furever home, or a foster home. Uno enjoys playing with his kennel mate Utah and the other dogs at rescue, however he does not like large dogs. Uno likes to play with toys and will fetch the tennis ball when he's out in the play yard, then run off with it (he's a bit of a toy hoarder). He also likes his kennel and doesn't mind chilling out when he's done playing for the day. Uno is evasive with people when he initially meets them. He will bark at you to warn you away, but trust us when we say that Uno is more scared of YOU than you are of him. Uno has really blossomed during his time at rescue. He loves being pet by those he knows. He will prance up to you and give you little love nibbles while he dances around you. Uno doesn't like to be held for more than a few seconds, and he has not yet learned the leash. He will need a home with an experienced owner that will be patient and willing to give him time to build trust and work on socializing him. He does have a “micro” eye but it's nothing that affects him or his health.  Uno is approximately three years old, is neutered, has a microchip and current vaccines. If you think Uno would be a good fit in your home, please contact Chi Town Rescue to make an appointment to meet him. He would love to go home soon! Story
Meet Rowland! Rowland is currently staying at Chi Town Rescue while waiting for his furever home. Rowland came to the rescue with his mom and two siblings (William and Beyonce) from a rescue in Mexico. They were scheduled to go to another rescue until they lost their foster home, so Chi Town Rescue stepped in to help. Rowland loves to go to the play yard with the other rescue dogs, playing fetch with toys and enjoying the sunshine. Rowland is avoidant with new people at first and will often bark at you from a distance until he gets to know you. Once he does know you though, Rowland insists on being a part of everything you do! He's a very curious guy and will follow you everywhere and keep you company. If you're looking for a constant canine companion, Rowland is the one for you. Rowland is a little bigger than your average Chihuahua. He can jump very high so a tall secure fence (at least six feet) is a definite must in his new home. Rowland would do best in a home with other dogs, as he is very dog-social. He is not leash trained and will need an owner who is willing to help him with leash training, or is ok with not taking Rowland on walks. Rowland is a cute and quirky fella who may take more than one meeting to get to know. If you have the time and patience to get to know a dog like Rowland, you will find that the reward is 100% worth it! Rowland is neutered, has a microchip and his current vaccines. He is approximately one-year-old. If you would like to meet Rowland, please contact Chi Town Rescue to make an appointment for a meet and greet.  He would love to go home soon! Call 602-526-0842 and/or email chitownrescue@gmail.com for a meet and greet appointment.  November 3, 2024, 4:58 pm
