Get ready for the greatest love of your life!!! Please learn more about us and our available pets at Robin Hood Animal Rescue. In Ernie's words: 'I was adopted back in 2016 when I was just a puppy. My dad made the decision and returned me to Robin Hood Animal Rescue because his work schedule made it difficult for him to be home with me. So now I am waiting to have a family decide that I am the one who they have been wanting to love. I still am playful. I love to play hide and seek in the bedding. I do great with other dogs.' IMPORTANT!! Due to time and staffing constraints, ALL inquiries/questions MUST BE accompanied by your completed Adoption Application (Matchmaking Questionnaire). See above for the link to the form. Any inquiries/questions sent without the completed form will NOT receive a response. Thank You for understanding. Affectionate "special needs" Ginger is 4 years old and in search of a loving home that is as special as she is. Ginger had a rough start in life and for the first year of her puppyhood she was strictly confined in a tiny crate with only a few potty breaks. As a result, she suffers from claustrophobia and is terrified of leashes. Despite all this, Ginger is a loving and friendly girl who likes nothing better than to jump up on your lap for a tummy rub, or sit beside you on the couch watching TV. She also loves sleeping in bed with you. She likes toys and chew bones and running around out in the back yard. Ginger is good with other pets and us perfectly potty trained. She uses the doggie door and never makes a mess. Ginger would be the ideal companion for someone who doesn't take their dog for a walk and just wants a friendly and loving pet to be their best friend. Her adoption fee is $125 and includes her spay and all shots.

Story
Hi everyone! My name is Baby and I am a sweet, laid back 8-pound, 10 year-old female Chihuahua mix who wants nothing more than to cuddle and love you.  I may take a little bit to warm up at first as I’m still a little cautious with strangers but I do warm up quickly, especially if you have a little treat you wanted to share with me. I am house-trained and my favorite thing is to sleep and watch tv with you.  I know I would make an excellent addition to your loving home.  I get along fine with small dogs in my foster home but as I am older now I don’t play as much Baby is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee of $250 helps offset the rescue's medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think she could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application/  *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up. November 24, 2024, 9:56 am

Story
Welcome Mona, our little 10 pound cutie!  Mona can be a bit shy when first introduced to new folks but warms up quickly.  At 8 years old, she is looking for that perfect lap to call her own.  She loves to receive human attention and will sometimes get a bit pushy when other littles want attention.  She does respond well when corrected with "No". Her foster mom says she is great when walking on a leash but loves the after-walk couch time even more!  Her best fit would be as an only dog or with a small, male, laid-back doggy. Mona is house, crate and leash trained, must have a securely fenced yard in her forever home. Households with young children are not a good fit for Mona.   Mona is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee of $350 helps offset the rescue's medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think she could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*:     Adoption Application - Help A Dog Smile .      *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Super sweet cuddle buddy! Mostly blind, but loves attention. Can use stairs and doggie door once he learns were they are. Gets along good with other calm dogs, but hyper dogs and puppies move too fast and scare him. Not recommended to live with young kids for the same reason. He is a quiet dog, usually only barking to let you know he wants back inside. Contact his foster mom today to meet this lovable little guy! Foster mom: 601-479-2601

Story
Woody is a bundle of love. He came to me quite sick (dehydrated and malnourished), but has made a fabulous recovery. He's doubled his weight in a month and everyday he showers me with unconditional love. Besides the snuggles and puppy kisses, he likes to go crazy with his toys, then taking power naps to recharge. He loves going on walks around the neighborhood and is learning to walk on leash. His potty training is coming along, but he's got a ways to go. He has had 2 of his 3 puppy shots (plus rabies) and will be getting his final booster on December 16th. I am looking for a new home for Woody because we live in farm country in WA in summer where there are owls, eagles, coyotes, etc. I had originally agreed to take him, believing he would be a larger dog, but with his tiny size, I am fearful he would be in danger. I can keep him until we travel north, but I am hoping to re home him to someone who would love to have a tiny dog with a huge heart.

Coco is an incredibly sweet dog in need of a loving new home. As a devoted companion to my parents, who have recently passed away, she has shown endless loyalty and affection. Coco would be an amazing lap dog or buddy for someone who enjoys a calm, quiet lifestyle. She gets along well with older kids and is already crate trained, making her an easy addition to your home. With her warm and gentle nature, she loves to relax and cuddle, finding joy in simply hanging out and watching TV with you. If you're looking for a charming companion to brighten your days, Coco is the perfect choice. Don’t miss the chance to welcome her into your life!
