Hi, I’m Trixie. I am a Chihuahua/Dachshund/Poodle mix. I have a unique story to tell. You see, I’m a puppy who had puppies! I’m probably not more than a year old and I weigh 10 pounds. I came into rescue pregnant, and the day after Christmas, I had four beautiful puppies. I was a great mom, and now the pups are ready to find their own homes. I have made amazing progress in my foster home, and I’m still learning about the world. My ideal forever home would be an understanding family with another friendly dog for me to look up to and learn from, and a safe yard to play in. My adoption fee is $300, and I am spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Meet ten-week-old Snow, Frosty, and Button. They are Chi-weenies. That’s a Chihuahua and Dachshund with a little bit of poodle all in sweet and tiny packages. Their mom, Trixie, was full-term when a M.A.I.N. volunteer saw that Trixie’s pups were about to be aborted at one of the AZ shelters. The volunteer claimed a very pregnant Trixie and she delivered puppies five days later, at 4:30 in the morning with two volunteers by her side. Trixie had four puppies. Two black and two white. Snow is the tan pup and is a female, Button is the tri-colored and female, and Frosty is light, white and is a boy. The pups were born on December 26, 2024. They have been neutered/spayed. They have a microchip and their shots including Bordetella. At six months of age, they will need their rabies shot also. The puppy’s adoption fee is $500 and goes directly to M.A.I.N. Bruce is a lover for sure. I am waiving the adoption fee because I would really like to see him go to a loving home and not have to worry about rather or not someone will rescue him from a shelter. He is a great lap dog and is very loving and friendly. Bruce gets along great with everyone cats, dogs, children,adults,everyone. Ginger had a rough start in life and for the first year of her puppyhood she was strictly confined in a tiny crate with only a few potty breaks. As a result, she suffers from claustrophobia and is terrified of leashes. Despite all this, Ginger is a loving and friendly girl who likes nothing better than to jump up on your lap for a tummy rub, or sit beside you on the couch watching TV. She also loves sleeping in bed with you. She likes toys and chew bones and running around out in the back yard. Ginger is good with other pets and us perfectly potty trained. She uses the doggie door and never makes a mess. Ginger would be the ideal companion for someone who doesn't take their dog for a walk and just wants a friendly and loving pet to be their best friend. They were fed by neighbors for almost a year before we were called to help. Personality: Cosmo is a little shy meeting new people but warms up quickly. Hi everyone! My name is Cisco and I am a sweet, laid back 8-pound, 12 year-old male Apple head Chihuahua mix who wants nothing more than to have a home again. Coco (also at helpadogsmile.org) and Cisco were very loved little dogs, who have been lifelong friends, found themselves homeless when their trusted human had to enter memory care. These two love each other, are housetrained and just had dentals! Yes they can be separated but we would love to see them stay together. They are the odd couple with Cisco with his love to be held and busy little personality while Coco is a bit more laid back...she loves to follow you around and sit with you BUT a tad wary of being scooped up! Cisco is a little tiny bundle of personality. He knows what he wants and he will give it his all to let you know what he wants with his quirky little bark. I am house-trained and my favorite thing is to sleep and watch tv with you. I know I would make an excellent addition to your loving home. I get along fine with small dogs in my foster home but as I am older now I don’t play as much Cisco is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
