My dad found Miso behind our church on a cold rainy day in Nov. 2018. She was ~8 y.o., untrained, w/ strange fears: empty water bottles, aluminum foil. Her nails were long & she was hairless & skinny. It's been our theory that she was abandoned. I spent a month looking for her owners, but no one turned up. At this time I was prepping to go away to college & live in a dorm that didn't allow pets, so my dad was her caretaker until 2021 when I graduated. My dad did his best, but he had his own ailments & was busy with work so he couldn't take care of Miso all the way. I married a soldier that same year, & we have since brought Miso with us through multiple military moves. My husband & I have loved on her. I was so happy when her fur started growing again & she gained weight. But as time has gone on, she developed medical issues that we aren't able to afford. I recently became a mom, & we're about to move again. It sucks, but I have to admit I can't give Miso the life she deserves anymore.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Clarissa is a Chihuahua/Terrier Mix and has long legs.. Clarissa gets along with the other dogs in her foster home. She loves to hang out and play with them. Clarissa plays with the larger cattle dog mixes as well as the little ones in the house. She loves to jump into a lap and nap as you watch TV. Leash training has been an issue, she sets up an imaginary line and will not cross that line. At bedtime and when we leave the house she is inside a a crate with her brother Darby. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Darby is a Chihuahua/Terrier Mix and has the cutest short legs.. Darby has recovered from his leg surgery. Many of you remember that Darby had a growth plate on his front leg that closed up early. The larger bone in that leg kept growing and started to twist. He had several xrays done and it was found that he had enough space in his elbow to have the smaller bone in his leg cut, a pin was added for stability. The reasoning was that the muscle in his upper leg would pull the bone into place as he walked. Well, it worked, the pin has been pulled out and he is recovered. . He will always have a limp, since that leg is shorter then the other, and when he stands his foot still points outwards. So, he is not perfect, but any further damage was stopped and he gets around just fine. Darby hasn't resumed using the dog door yet, but he gets plenty of chances to go outside. He is crate trained and he loves to lay in a lap and sleep the day away, when he isn't wrestling with his sister Clarissa. Darby looks to have some terrier, and the other mix we can only guess that it may be a little Dachshund or Corgi, since his brother Buster also had his short legs and big ears. He is neutered, current on his basic vaccines and chipped. TACO came to us as a very overweight chihuahua/pug mix. Since comeing to RoRescue in September, he went from 20 lbs to 15 lbs, and still needs to lose another pound or two. His new slimmer self has much more energy and promises a better future. PERSONALITY: TACO is a sweet boy who is friendly and NOT-A-BARKER. He likes other dogs, but mostly he likes head massages and cuddling next to his human. He seems housetrained but RoRescue never guarantees this. HEALTH: TACO has been vet checked, vaccinated, neutered and recent dental cleaning. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FYI: Rorescue dogs are NOT perfect. We rescue the dogs the throw away dogs that nobody wants for various reasons. Then we work to get them to the point that they are adoptable. We strive to share all information that we gather with the adopter. We can, honestly, state that we NEVER guarantee perfect potty habits. At RoRescue, we strive to match the dog's personality to the best possible future home. This, in no way, casts judgement on the potential adopter. Our primary concern is the dog's future safety, health and happiness. ALL RORESCUE DOGS are vet checked, spayed/neutered, dental cleaning (if needed), microchipped and UTD on shots.
