Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

River here! I know the first thing you notice is amazing…smile? Nope its my underbite! If you could win an award for one I imagine I would have a trophy! I’m a friendly guy who loves other dogs and people! I go to daycare and love playing with other pups while I’m there. My foster parents say one of the funniest things I do is toss my toys in the air and I get confused when they don’t land right next to me. I’m kind a a goofy guy. Speaking of playing I also dog fetch and love playing with my dog toys. I’m not just all about romping around though. I’m a great one to cuddle with and really enjoy Netflix nights on the couch I live with a feline friend and we get along great. I have also met children and I was very appropriate and sweet around them. I’m great in my crate and I have house training down! If you are looking for a fun guy who lives to meet new people, I’m your guy!

Baxter is a total doll. He and his sibling were dumped at our rescue...they are social and so sweet. Baxter is all puppy but he is ready to have you teach him how to be the best boy he can be. He is crate, and potty trained. His life took a little turn at Christmas time when he was stepped on by a cow (yes his fosters have cows :), he had a tail and pelvic injury that required his tail to be amputated and he had to recover. WELL he HAS recovered :) He still has nerve damage in the back leg ..he uses it occasionally but at times doesn't...this does not slow him down...his foster mom, Jodi can share more about this gorgeous boy!!!! He is ready for his furever home and boy will you LOVE this boy!! While he was recovering from his injuries he became the bestest pup you could imagine! Now he is looking for that forever home that will just love him for who he is!! ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! SO MANY PUPS LIKE BAXTER's LIVES DEPEND ON IT!!! My Shadow follows me wherever I go!! That is a little disconcerting, however.... I move fast to see if he can keep up with me :) It is fun to try to outsmart him and it does help me wear me out :) I love me some playtime! Toys, ropes, tug of war time and running are keeping me active to fulfill my Whippet nature and my LAB nature too!!
