Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

These pups are in Portland, Oregon too!

Labrador Retriever Mix 1 year old Male 42 pounds Kids · 10+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No Toby or Not Toby, that is the question—and the answer is Toby, of course! I mean, look at me! This smile can light up a room. My heart is as soft and shiny as this stunning coat of fur I wear upon my back. I’ll share my love with other dogs, but no cats, please. I will even enjoy the company of respectful older children 10+ who understand how to be very patient and understanding. Truth is, I’ll take all the love and affection I can get, but I want to feel safe! I’m still a pup and although I have had lots of training, like crate training and housetraining basic commands I want to find a family who will give me the time, guidance and structure I need to blossom into the best boy I can be. So, there you have it, all the answers you could need. It’s Toby of course! My adoption fee is $240 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Story
**Fostered in Tacoma, WA, and ready for meet & greets!** 🐾 Meet Kawasaki! 🐾 Meet Kawasaki, a handsome boy who will fill your life with joy and excitement! Making his way to you, this cute Lab mix pup is on track to be a large companion, potentially reaching over 80 lbs as he grows into his paws—though, as with all things in rescue, that's just an educated guess! Kawasaki is doing wonderfully in his current foster home, where he's made friends with a pack of three dogs. He's crate-trained and house trained. He's even started to communicate when he needs to go outside by sitting at the door and whining, showing just how smart he is by also mastering bell training. Playful, sweet, and endlessly curious, Kawasaki is sure to bring you lots of joy. His treat motivation makes continued training a breeze. He's currently living with two teenage boys and fits right in, acting like just one of the guys. Plus, he's excellent in the car, making him the ideal companion for errand runs and road trips. Since Kawasaki is still a young pup, he needs a family ready to commit to his training and socialization. Adoptive families should be ready to help him perfect his leash skills, making him a fantastic partner for neighborhood walks and scenic hikes. Get ready for a life filled with affection, as Kawasaki will repay your love and dedication with lots of kisses and loyal companionship. Kawasaki might be your perfect match if you're looking for a big hunk of love to add to your family! 🐶❤️ Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/656e15bedf9fe6a8b503a29f Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! Story
Jayce is a mellow, medium-energy, lovey-dovey sweet and soft boy looking for his forever family. Jayce would adore doggy parents that stay home on the weekends, a doggy sibling or two, and a soft couch to curl up on. We think Jayce is a Labrador, Pittie mix, but he is a rescue, so these are just our best guesses. He currently tips the scales at a soft and snuggly 80 pounds, fully grown at an estimated 3 years old. Fall in love with Jayce here: https://youtu.be/eMruI9XWZ2k?si=6f0Lty2sksNcC10D Jayce is a people-lover to his core, but it can take him a moment or two to warm up to new people. He’s easily won over with Pupperoni, his favorite snack, and gentle soft voices. Once he’s warmed up to you, he’s ready to snuggle and play! Unlike some of his pittie “cousins,” Jayce is not jumpy, or mouthy, he’s a very enjoyable dog to play with. Jayce is a dog that could truly fit into your lifestyle, and feel like a member of the family. He has a wonderfully balanced energy that allows him to be content calmly hanging out while you work from home, hang out with friends, or really just engage in any activity that does not directly involve him. Jayce is just a chill little guy- a fun fact about Jayce is that fireworks don’t faze him! His foster dad reported 0 issues on July 4. Jayce loves to be outdoors as well. If you find yourself in the garage tinkering often, Jayce would love to watch you work. If you’re a hiker, a morning-trail-walker, or a frequent park-goer, he would love to join you. He loves water too, he’s a big fan of the doggy pool! Jayce is an easy to love dog. He has great leash skills, great house manners, his foster reports that he’s potty trained, he knows some basic commands. He loves water, friends, car rides, toys, and belly rubs. He’s incredibly dog friendly and gets along with dogs of all personality types and sizes! Small dog friendly! We recommend Jayce for a cat-free, child-free home. He would love to live with empty-nesters, homebodies, work from homers- someone that will spend lots of quality belly-rub time with him. Jayce humbly requests that you stock up on Pupperoni, and dog toys in anticipation of his arrival! This sweet boy is ready for forever love, and excited to meet you. We are willing to test Jayce with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. His adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below, would be more than happy to answer any specific questions you may have about Jayce. Alayna, a director at 3LP, has kindly placed her phone number at the below as well, if you would like to chat over the phone!
