Hello all! This is Doge and he came to us when his previous owners could no longer care for him. Doge is a large-sized dog who is looking for a new forever family with an active lifestyle, as he has lots of big boy energy and is very adventurous! Having proper outlets for Doge`s energetic lifestyle is essential. Doge has had a hard time making new dog friends in the past and tends to resource guard his items. Due to this, Doge will need to have slow and monitored introductions with other dogs in the home over a period of time and we recommend feeding him in a crate or a safe space by himself, to lessen his need to guard the food, until proper training has been established. We do not know how Doge is with cats or children, and he`ll need slow/monitored introductions with them as well.INSIGHTS FROM MY DOG DAY OUT:`One of my favorite Dog Day Out experiences was hanging out with Doge! We spent a fantastic afternoon together at Blue Dog Farm. We began with a walk around the grounds, where Doge was fantastic on the leash, staying close by my side sniffing all the new smells. After our walk, we were invited to enjoy the dog park. There, I watched Doge show so much excitement and happiness as he ran free around the grounds. He loved chasing balls and exploring the area, but what thrilled him most was meeting two Pyrenees dogs and the alpacas. Doge was so happy as he ran up and down the farm`s paths, with the dogs and alpacas playfully following him. We ended our day with another stroll around the grounds, including their labyrinth path. During this walk, Doge was calm and seemed to savor every moment. As a treat for his great behavior, he received a bone from one of the farm`s owners before we prepared to head home. Doge hopped into the car like a gentle boy, enjoying the ride while looking out the window and sneaking in some requests for TLC.Doge is a wonderful adventure companion who would thrive with someone/a family who

Story
Ranger is ready to ride the range, well probably just stroll the range, with his furever people heading into the sunset! This retriever/lab come hound mix weighs about 35 lbs full grown. He is a handsome sucker with his chonky medium sized body, highlighted white nose and cute black back patches, he is the total package. Ranger has been settling well into the farm as he was nervous at first but has been doing great and has already made a ton of friends, people and dogs alike. He would love to join a home that will show him all things domestic and promises to be your wingman for anything and everything from cleaning the house to lounging in the backyard to taking walks. He is up for it all. Ranger and ready to show you the range of happy that you can feel everyday when he's around! **Volunteer Dog Walker feedback: "He did a great job on the hike. He did pull a little bit during the hike, but he actually did a great job following the dog that was in front of him and kept a good pace without pulling a lot of the time which I was very impressed with". Weekend Host commented: " He loves to cuddle, sleep upside down and eat. He's good with cats" "Ranger had no accidents." "He's also good at independent play." "I didn't use his crate, but rather slept next to him on the sofa." "He's great in the car." Recent Weekend Host added: "Ranger is a wonderful dog! Fit right in with our lab who quickly showed him how things are done." "He seems to be fully house trained. He had no accidents indoors, and slept peacefully all night in our bedroom on his own dog bed - no crate needed." "An easy boy to walk on trails, he doesn't pull and was happy to jog along on an Umstead trail. It seems like he feels safer and more confident in the woods than in the open streets." " He has a friendly disposition who just wants to cuddle with people, play with toys and dogs!"
