Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Sailor - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, her pathway to a new life! Hi ya everyone, I'm Sailor, a young 'un of about 2 years old and a 65-pound fella. I come with a sweet, gentle, and easy-going personality. But I'm finding myself dreaming my nights away just waiting for a home, a family...one that I can say is all mine. OMGosh, since you're reading this, could that family be with YOU?!!! I'm a handsome boy that loves people both tall and small and I do great with the other foster pups although I would do best in a home without cats. I'm an active boy that is always up for an adventure. I am a friendly, affectionate, and playful pooch that also enjoys meeting new people and receiving lots of pets and affection so our walks will be a little longer as I want to stop and say hello to everyone!! I really enjoy being outside whether it be to go for a walk, hike, splashing in the river (one of my favoritest things!!) or just playing in the yard. I have an easy going playful personality that has me in the makings to be the bestest companion to just about any family! I would be a great companion that will stick by your side through thick and thin being everyone's BFF and a great addition to a family...could it be YOUR family?!! If you're looking for a fun-loving, sweet, and adventurous canine companion, I is the 'ONE" for you! All you need to do is stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application and I'll take it from there!!! It can be found at haydudeequine.org

Gracie and her brother, Bandit, were surrendered to Helping Strays at 10 years of age. They are looking for a nice home to spend the rest of their years in. They are both housetrained and have very sweet personalities. They do need to be adopted as a pair since they have been together since birth. Being older they are on medications. If you can find in your heart to give this pair a great life, they would so appreciate it! Adoption fee has been waived.Gracie is 10 years old and weighs 100 pounds.Gracie's adoption fee has been covered by a generous donor. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Story
Sundance is a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix who came to us in 2020 from an Arkansas shelter where he was surrendered with his two brothers because of a family illness. Sundance is one of our six sanctuary dogs. He has been with us for such a long time now that we feel he would not do well transitioning to a new home. So we will continue to love and care for Sundance in rescue. We appreciate donations towards his food/treats, monthly preventatives, and routine vet care. In his foster home Sundance is gentle, affectionate, and playful. Sundance likes to be petted, walks well on a leash, and is house trained. He does need to be fed separately as he will resource guard his food from other dogs. Sundance is friendly with the other dogs in his foster home and his brother Phoenix is his closest companion. He enjoys a rural setting as his original owner lived on a farm. His foster dad doesn't have cats, however Sundance doesn't pay attention to them when he's at the vet. Sundance has double dew claws, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Our Adoption Requirements: A secure and visible fence. In order for your application to be approved, you must also pass a home check and a vet check which includes having at least a two year vet history. Our adoptable dogs can be adopted in Missouri and surrounding states: Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Arkansas. We are able to transport to those states.
We'll also keep you updated on Phoenix's adoption status with email updates.

So we will continue to love and care for Phoenix in rescue. We appreciate donations towards his food/treats, monthly preventatives, and routine vet care. My name is Phoenix. I have been with my foster dad for three years. I love him so much that I can't imagine moving to another home at my age. I am affectionate and playful. I greet my foster dad by jumping onto my dog house, putting my paws on his shoulders, and giving him a hug! I like water, playing with other dogs, and my favorite toy is a stuffed sloth. I am house trained and walk well on a leash. For a senior boy, I still really like my walks and require them. I enjoy my rural setting as I've lived my whole life on a farm with other dogs. My foster dad doesn't have cats, but I don't pay attention to them when I'm at the vet.
