Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

These pups are in Greenbelt, Maryland too!

He enjoys resting near his foster Mom, but at bedtime will normally walk unescorted into his open crate, fluff his blankets and go to sleep.   If you're looking for a companion who is loving and well behaved, Stubbz is the perfect match. His captivating smile and expressive eyes will surely brighten even the gloomiest of days.  Stubbz is about 3 years old - a perfect age to take home as he has mellowed out of his puppy ways and become a great companion in the home. Story
Meet Stu, a bouncy lovable yellow lab mix who will bring joy to any home!  Stu has that happy-go-lucky lab temperment that everyone loves.  At around 50 lbs, and about 1 year old Stu is the perfect size for snuggles and adventures. He's been thriving in his foster home, where he loves playing with his foster brother and hanging out with his foster humans. Stu is already house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands, making him an easy addition to the family. This sweet boy enjoys his daily walks and does well on leash. With playtime and training in his schedule, Stu is happy to settle in and relax, often curling up by your feet while you work or unwind. He's affectionate, very friendly with people, and has a sweet demeanor. If you're looking for a social and loving companion (with the cutest ears), Stu is the dog for you! He has done wonderfully living with another dog and would thrive in a home with a canine companion to play with, but would also be totally happy bonding with his perfect human match. Stu is the perfect addition to a home where he can continue to grow, learn, and share all his licks and love! Who can say no to those ears?! PAW places dogs in the DC/ MD/ VA/ PA area. ##2098691##

Story
Laddie is a loving, easy going lab looking for his forever home.  Beautiful Laddie was adopted in 2019 and was returned through no fault of his own.  He is now 8 and is looking for some people to love on him in his senior years.  Laddie is very loving.  He is very affectionate and loves to snuggle his people.  If invited, will sleep in bed with you.  However if you tell him, he will go to his crate or leave the room - such a well trained dog!  He also does well when left alone at home, simply relaxing and taking a snooze until you get back. He is fully housetrained, leashtrained, no behavior issues, house ready.    Laddie is happy to go for a walk and does well with his leash manners.  He always does his businesss on the walk.  After a nice walk he is ready to relax and lounge around the house.  Who doesn't love a lab?  Laddie does well with adults and teens but doesn't love small children and he prefers to be an only dog.  Wouldn't you like to meet Laddie? He is in a short-term foster situation and we would love to find him his forever people.
