Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

My Shadow follows me wherever I go!! That is a little disconcerting, however.... I move fast to see if he can keep up with me :) It is fun to try to outsmart him and it does help me wear me out :) I love me some playtime! Toys, ropes, tug of war time and running are keeping me active to fulfill my Whippet nature and my LAB nature too!! Looky at my face and tell me you don't want to share your WHOLE life with me :) I am waiting!!! Looking for a wonderful dog?? Great with all people big and small ;) And other playful dogs... No chickens please, lol, to me they just look like fast food :( Here he is!!! What girl doesn't LOVE songs and DANCING? Because she falls in Love Too Easily! Her name is Chettyand she's a jazzy lovebug! She's a female, Labrador Retriever/Pitbull Terrier mix looking for a special family to hold onto me and never let go! Still learning the chords of what it means to be a good girl: such as being comfortable in a crate and walking confidently on the leash. But, she'll figure it out with more and more practice. Her foster family is teaching so much and giving so much love! So prepared for her to give that back to you! She's a super excitable, mid-to-high energy dog, and . . sometimes forget her size around people! When her humans come home from work she transform from dog to jackrabbit and will jump all over the place and all over them! Gets along great with kids but remind your little ones that sometimes she'll forget just how little they are! She's curious about cats and chase them sometimes, thus we think she would do best in a household with no cats or cats that can hold their own against dogs. Hi, my name is Evan aka Quint and I have an interesting story to tell. If you can sit down and relax I will tell you about my short history! I am a gorgeous, approx 2 yr old lab mixed puppy who found myself in a bad way just 3 months old... like, hanging out at the gas station My face had injuries and scars and no one was there to care for me... UNTIL I won the "lost doggy lottery"!! People visiting on a mission to see their son graduate from Air Force boot camp the next day, found me! AND they didn't just leave me there... they took me to their hotel room (at the LA QUINTA INN..... :) and the rest is proverbial history!! They started calling around and the only nice person who actually answered her phone at 9:30pm was the founder of the rescue. One more phone call and one of the bestest people in the world picked me up at the hotel and brought me back to lost doggy heaven! Now I am awaiting the last awesome chapter to being a lost doggy and that is ADOPTION! I am about 60# full grown. I have a sweet and loving temperament and I love to play play play! I am a little bit silly and my personality EXUDES out of my pores like a sweet perfume! I am a big puppy with the greatest chance of my life.... I got a chance at a real life and I hope you will be the one to write my last chapter- with love, hot dogs and lots of cuddling and playtime!! So, if you are looking for me, I am looking for you!!!
