Story
Hi there! My name is Brutus!I ’ve been having some amazing adventures lately. Here’s what my friends have to say about me:Doggie Day Out - 1/18:Today, my girlfriend and I took Brutus around town for a Doggie Day Out! He was so sweet and happy all day, and his tail never stopped wagging!Despite being a stone’s throw from an ‘athletic’ physique, he surprised us by being a driven walker, putting in well over two miles on the day. We took him to Southside Park, McKinley Park, Pushkin’s Bakery, and a ‘Sniff Spot’ we found in West Sac. He doesn’t seem to have a reactive bone in his gigantic body, and he seldom barked. When he saw other dogs and people, he was very friendly and wagged his tail. His leash skills are pretty good, but he does put his weight into his desired direction, which is not always the direction desired by you. He is also very curious and loves to explore and sniff everything!Brutus is both toy and food motivated, but keep in mind when choosing toys that he is a super chewer! He was great in the car, apart from the fact he seemed a little anxious due to some panting. Overall, Brutus is a big, goofy, cuddly dude, and he will be a spectacular addition to any family willing to spend a bit of time training and loving him!Doggie Day Out - 1/22:Easy as a Sunday morning. This big guy is so chill and sweet. Don’t let his size fool you—he listens very well, comes when called, and stays close. He seems a little anxious in the car, with some panting, but he got in and out of the car on his own (even though I helped a bit). As a small female (115 lbs), I felt in control the whole time because he never tugged on the leash. He’s the perfect companion for a mix of exploring and sniffing around, followed by a good, long nap.We started our day by cruising Home Depot, where he made lots of friends (even in the garden center). Next, we stopped at PetSmart for some more exploring and socializing. Afterward, we hung out at Starbucks, people-watching, where he was calm and well-behaved, even with people walking by.Our final stop was the park, where there was a lot of action—cop cars, fire trucks, and even an officer who walked up to us to ask a question and meet Brutus. Brutus didn’t react at all and was as calm as ever. He spent time sniffing around and then relaxed in the grass, surrounded by people, children, and squirrels. He would look at them but didn’t react.Brutus truly is an amazing dog who would make a wonderful companion. He deserv

Story
It breaks our hearts to rehome Duke, our family dog, but we want to ensure he gets the love and care he deserves. Duke is a 5-year-old black Labrador Retriever, full of energy, and loves to play. Unfortunately, due to physical limitations (I’ve had two knee replacements), I can no longer provide him with the exercise and care he needs. He pulls on the leash and requires a strong, active owner who can give him daily walks, playtime, xxxx@xxxx.x deserves a home where he can thrive and be part of an active family. Story
Hi I’m Zorro! I’m a 5 year old Pitbull/Lab mix. My two favorite things to do are play fetch and sunbathe. I’m also a huge fan of cuddles and belly rubs. I make my family feel very safe, yet am always excited to meet new people and would do great with a single owner, couple or family who has older children. I’m potty/house trained and know sit, stay, lay down and shake commands. I’m high energy and love to run around or go on walks. I am neutered and vaccinated.
