Meet your New Best Friend at an Adoption Event near you! Michelangelo is thinking about coming to an adoption event near you very soon. If you’d like to learn more about this pup and their fluffy friends who are looking for their furever homes, check out our website: https://amazingdogs.org/available-dogs/ If you would like to reserve this doggie and have us bring them to the event of your choice for you to meet first, you can do so by paying a non-refundable deposit of $50 to our Venmo or Zelle account (619-918 2142 in the name of Amazing Dogs; pls indicate your telephone number). This deposit will go towards the adoption fee. After receipt of your deposit, we will confirm your reservation and list the doggie on our website as ‘Pending Adoption’. If you decide not to adopt one of our Amazing Dogs, the $50 is considered a compensation for the transportation costs. All our doggies come with their health record and have received all necessary medical care, which includes (but is not limited to) all vaccines, de-wormer, anti-flea/tick medication, microchip and of course spay/neuter surgery. Our adoption fee is $500. Only in California, the fee for babies under a year old is $600. Please consider this not as a price you pay for the doggie, but as a (tax-deductible) donation to our charity, so we can continue our work and take care of the 250+ dogs in our shelter. Read more about why we charge adoption fees here: https://amazingdogs.org/adoption-fees/ If you have any additional inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via call or text. Story
Meet Delilah! She is a very smart 3 year old that is very loyal to her humans. She is completely friendly with strangers, gives lots of kisses, and adores anybody who will throw her ball. Fetch is her favorite thing ever, she drops the ball right at your feet when she wants it to be thrown, and lays down and waits. She also knows sit and is learning new tricks! She loves water so it would be great if she could find a pool or head to the beach. She’s a larger dog (around 90lbs) so we would recommend older kids only. She loves being around her humans and smelling all the new smells. She’s great in the car and is a good beach/hiking companion. Interested in adopting this pet? Story
Meet Delilah, a remarkable 3-year-old who brings both brains and heart to her human family! At about 90 pounds, she’s a gentle giant with a boundless love for adventure and companionship. Friendly and affectionate, Delilah is a natural with strangers, greeting everyone with wagging enthusiasm and sweet kisses.   Fetch is her absolute favorite game, and she’s a pro! Delilah will drop the ball at your feet and lay down, waiting with eager eyes for you to throw it again. She’s already mastered “sit” and is picking up new tricks quickly, proving she’s as smart as she is loyal.   This water-loving girl would thrive with access to a beach or pool, where she can splash and swim to her heart’s content. Perfect for car rides, Delilah is the ultimate beach or hiking buddy, soaking up every new scent and sight along the way. Due to her size, she’d do best with older kids who can join her on all her joyful escapades.   Delilah’s looking for a home that loves outdoor fun as much as she does. Could that be you? Story
Hi, I'm Freddie. I'm a handsome and regal looking 4 yr. old, 73 lb. black lab mix. I'm playful, friendly and affectionate. In spite of all my great qualities, I spent over a year in a shelter before SPOT rescued me (Black dogs and large breeds frequently get unfairly passed over by adopters for some reason) I love toys of all kinds and enjoy chasing a ball. I still haven't quite mastered that part about bringing it back! I get along great with other dogs and people. Unfortunately, cats, not so much. Since coming to SPOT, I have worked with a trainer to develop my leash manners and to follow basic commands. I would like to learn even more, if my new family will work with me. (Just to make sure I get off on the right track, SPOT will provide refresher sessions with my Trainer. I recently had some surgery to fix my leg and its all better.I love my daily brisk walks and romps in the backyard. Since I am a big strong dog, you should probably have experience with bigger dogs. Freddie is a dog who, more than anything deserves a second chance! He will reward that lucky family who adopts him with a lifetime of love and loyalty. Could you be that family? If you think you might, please fill out an application so we can arrange for you to meet Freddie. Freddie's Adoption fee is $300 and includes neuter, microchip and current vaccinations. Story
How this pet arrived: Rocky was brought in by his previous owner on April 10, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Rocky, a shy but sweet boy looking for his new home. Rocky was kept outside without much socialization in his previous home, so he's still discovering how wonderful new human friends can be! Rocky adores treats and thrives on gentle care and patience. He's looking for a calm and quiet home where he can continue to blossom. Due to his sensitive nature, Rocky would do best in a household with older children (over the age of 6) who understand his need for gentle interactions. Make sure to bring along the entire household so that we can ensure a good fit! If you're ready to open your heart and home to this pup deserving of love and comfort, come meet Rocky and we will even send you home with his leash and collar!Shy/Fearful Dog: Rocky requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Primary Color: Black Weight: 65 Age: 1yrs 5mths 3wks
