Story
Kennedy is currently in a foster home! If you are interested in her, please contact the shelter to schedule a meet and greet. Kennedy is a very sweet, affectionate and outgoing girlie. She is an active dog who would benefit from a big yard to run and play in, fenced in of course is a bonus! Kennedy can be anxious at times and would be best suited in a home that does not require her to be alone for long periods of time. Kennedy has done great with children. Very gentle and loving. She just loves love! Kennedys foster home has other dogs in it and she has done wonderful with them. She has really enjoyed playing with the puppies and is incredibly tolerable! Kennedy is potty trained and is always on her best behavior in her foster home. She is not crate trained yet but has done well when left alone for short periods of time. Kennedy is walking much better on a leash and has taken to positive reinforcement well! She knows the cue “sit” and is currently working on “down” because she does tend to jump up for a hug! Kennedy could make such a great family dog, and she is already used to the family lifestyle. Her foster family adores her and want nothing more than to see her happy and loved! If you feel that Kennedy may be a good fit for your home, we would love for you to meet her.

Story
Artemis was recently returned because she had too much energy, her first time being surrendered was also because she had too much energy. It is important for adopters to understand that Artemis is a young, active dog who will thrive best with regular exercise! Artemis is very friendly and well behaved. She has loved everyone she`s met and is always happy to make a friend! Artemis does great with children and is very gentle. She has done well with other dogs, but her owner said that she has not played with other dogs in some time. Artemis was previously said to do well with cats and other small animals, but her most recent adopter stated that she would try to chase small animals. Slow introductions to new animals is advised! Artemis is potty trained and crate trained. Artemis walks well on a leash but is best walked on a harness because she can slip a collar. She also knows the cues “sit”, “stay”., “down”, “off”, “leave it”, “no” and “treat”. Artemis is a smart girl and loves to learn! She loves attention and does great with handling. She even loves baths! Artemis will best fit in a home that can provide her with a positive outlet for her energy. She is a good natured girlie who is really hoping to find her forever home!

Story
Max is a happy go lucky, well mannered, tennis ball loving dog. He is reaching his golden years but wants to remind everyone that age is just a number and that he has plenty of pep in step! Max is friendly and has done well with meeting new people. He is never afraid to say hi and loves to be showered with attention! Max did arrive to the shelter as a stray and unfortunately was not claimed by his previous owner. We do not know if he has lived with children or other animals. We encourage adopters to bring their children with them when they come to meet him! Max has not been reactive towards other dogs in the shelter and has a friendly demeanor when seeing them. He may do well with a nice friend, and we can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed! Max is a very good boy and is not afraid to show it. Even if he is excited and being petted, if you ask him to sit, he will do it almost instantly! He is such a gentleman. Max does appear to be potty trained; he walks well on a leash and knows the cue “sit” and “down”. He may also know “shake” but becomes bashful when asked! Max has a go with the flow personality and is a lot of fun to hang out with. He will never turn down a game of fetch and is always happy to go on a nice walk! If you feel that Max would be a good fit for your home, we would love for you to come by and meet him!
