You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Hello we are 2 fun loving little girls who had to start over.  Our family didn't have a lot of time to spare for us so we were crated a lot.  Our dad decided we deserved better so he brought us to the ranch.  At first we didn't know what was going on but then we made friends with the Director and this place is REALLY cool!!!  We NEVER have to be in a crate and we are never alone!!  There are always plenty of humans around and lots of fur friends and we have this big fenced in field that we LOVE!!!  We like to run and play ALL day!  We don't leave each other so the Director said not to worry she would NEVER split us up and she will make sure we only go to someone with a fenced yard that will enjoy having us running around :)If you think you might be a good fit fill out an application and if we think we should meet you we will be in touch for a 'date' :)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Story
Meet handsome Nugget! He is a 3 year old Cavapoo, weighing in at about 25 pounds. Nugget was surrendered from a commercial breeder and was badly matted when rescued. Although he was initially terrified, he soon relaxed after being bathed and trimmed and welcomed into his loving foster home. Over the next days, he learned to trust his foster family, playing with the resident dog, and enjoying good food and yummy treats😊 Nugget has turned into one of the best snugglers. He loves to play, go for walks, and occasionally chew things he shouldn’t. He is great with kids, and other dogs in a small setting. He quickly mastered sit and no, and is still working on some other basic commands, but he is very smart and picks things up quickly. Nugget is still a little skittish at times and often timid when first meeting someone new, which doesn’t last long if they give him treats and pets. He is almost completely potty trained but will have an accident here and there, and of course there may be some regression when moving to his furever home. He is crate trained as well. Nugget will do well in almost any home, but he would benefit from a resident dog who he can continue to learn from. He would love children to play with, and needs adults who will make him feel safe. He is neutered, and up to date on all vaccines and preventatives. Nugget is being fostered in Lancaster, Pa and all potential adopters should be prepared to travel there for the adoption. A home visit and meet and greet with resident pets is part of the application process. If you are interested, please fill out an application at www.zoeshouserescue.com Nugget is going to make a great pet and companion to whomever is lucky enough to adopt him! Story
Hello there! I’m Brooke and I am a 3 year old female King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. I came to Zoe’s House from a commercial breeder when they were done breeding me. Yes, I’ve already had puppies of my own! I am very sweet and affectionate lady. I just want cuddle on a nice warm lap! I enjoy playing with other dogs but I am also okay being the only dog too. I am crate trained and see my crate as a safe place. I sleep and eat in my crate. I go right into with a couple taps on the top of the crate. I am working doing really well with housebreaking and keep my crate clean overnight. I do like to jump up on people when I’m excited. It would be nice to have a fenced yard to run around I do not require one. I just need a way to be kept secure when I’m outside. I am up to date on vaccines and am already spayed. I am being fostered in Schuylkill County so any potential adopters will have to travel to meet me. If you think that you can give me the love and patience that I need to be a happy dog, please apply at https://www.zoeshouserescue.com/adopt. Zoe's House Kennel #9117 Sinking Spring, PA 19608
