Story
Luke aka Friskie is a 3yo cava-poo who has lived his best life with his adoptive mom.  Sadly, she has severe health issues and is no longer able to care for him. Luke was her baby, side kick and the neighborhood star.  He sits nicely in his doggie stroller and greets everyone with happy anticipation of being pet and fussed over. His handicap did not affect his friendly and bright personality.  From hiking to canoeing to fetching a tennis ball in his wheelchair, Luke loves an adventure.  He also loves being with his mom and laying in the spot of sunshine.  The hardest part of his care is daily diaper changes (3-4 per day) which he tolerates wonderfully.  He knows we are helping him and he cooperates.  He would make a great companion and therapy dog.  His handicap should not prevent him from having a 2nd chance at happiness and security. He is currently living  with other dogs and can be possessive over toys, so a submissive friend would do best with him.  Otherwise he is doing great with his dog friends in his foster home. Luke is neutered, up to date with vaccinesand microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.00 and all supplies that we have on hand for him will go with him. If you are interested in adopting Luke, please visit our website www.LHARinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Logan's Heroes Animal Rescue 9411 Kings Highway, East Greenville, PA 18041. Pennsylvania Kennel License #13036.  ##1200343##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Hello we are 2 fun loving little girls who had to start over.  Our family didn't have a lot of time to spare for us so we were crated a lot.  Our dad decided we deserved better so he brought us to the ranch.  At first we didn't know what was going on but then we made friends with the Director and this place is REALLY cool!!!  We NEVER have to be in a crate and we are never alone!!  There are always plenty of humans around and lots of fur friends and we have this big fenced in field that we LOVE!!!  We like to run and play ALL day!  We don't leave each other so the Director said not to worry she would NEVER split us up and she will make sure we only go to someone with a fenced yard that will enjoy having us running around :)If you think you might be a good fit fill out an application and if we think we should meet you we will be in touch for a 'date' :)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!October 14, 2024, 6:08 pm
