They say I can stay with them and enjoy all the trappings of a loving home with lots of snuggles and treats, while I wait for my forever family. I'm having a blast! I’ve mastered the stairs, get very tasty kibble, love a little run in the backyard (especially because if I go potty while out there, I get a treat!!) and Gracie lets me snuggle with her if I want to. I hope my new home has a Gracie. What's not to love here? But I do hope that I will soon find my forever family. I love all dogs, big or small. I especially love to meet new people. I am super friendly and a very good welcomer! I do like my food VERY MUCH and when it’s being made, my tail seems to wag lots and lots. I can sleep in my crate but I do prefer a cozy dog bed. Foster mum says I'm a good boy because when she leaves me out of my crate, I never make a mess or chew anything. And now, a few words from my foster mom: Rio can only be described as a laid back, gentle, sweet, trusting cuddle bug. He is low maintenance for sure. Rio just loves to have you around but is also good when you have to leave for a few hours. He would likely do well in a home with an existing dog. He is not worried about big dogs at all, he just follows the lead and is so chilled out. He is working on his potty training and treats after outside visits have been noted by him. I think he would be good with respectful children over 5yrs old. Or a retired/ semi-retired person/ couple. I can honestly say he is very easy to care for. He is learning that walks on a leash can be fun, but is happy with a local walk, for now. He is showing signs of play and I am sure it won't take long for him to interact more. If you want the most loving boy, that can melt into your lap or equally enjoy his comfy bed, then this is your guy. Oh yes, he loves head kisses and ear rubs. He has decided very quickly that those are fun him too. Questions?
