Story
Meet Bruce! Bruce is a charming 5 year-old Cavalier Spaniel with a stunning reddish-orange coat that perfectly matches his vibrant personality. Rescued from a puppy mill, Bruce has overcome his past and is ready to find a loving forever home.
This lovable guy is a bit on the hefty side (weighing in at 27lbs but losing weight each day), but that just means there's more of him to love! Bruce is a food enthusiast who enjoys mealtime to the fullest, and he'll happily show you how to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. When he's not indulging in his favorite snacks, you can find him snoring loudly in his cozy spot - he definitely knows how to relax!
Bruce absolutely adores the fall season, especially watching the leaves dance down from the trees. He's a social butterfly who loves everyone he meets - except for those pesky delivery trucks that he just can't stand! Bruce is smart and fully potty trained, making him the perfect companion for any home.
Bruce will require an adopter who is committed to helping him on his weight loss journey, ensuring he gets the exercise and healthy meals he needs to thrive. If you're looking for a sweet, snuggly friend who enjoys the beauty of autumn and has a heart of gold, Bruce is your guy! Come meet him and see how he can brighten your days!
Bruce is currently being fostered in Cincinnati, OH, and his adoption fee is $450.
Bruce is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
