MEET COOPER:
Age: 2 years oldBreed: Cavalier King Charles SpanielWeight: 15lbs
Rescued from a life of commercial breeding, Cooper is now safe and ready for a loving forever home, thanks to the collaboration between the Bissell Pet Foundation and National Mill Dog Rescue. Cooper is a sweet, affectionate boy with a zest for life! He is very active and enjoys engaging with people and other dogs. His loving nature makes him a delightful companion, and he thrives on interaction and attention. He’s still learning how to be a family pet, so he’s eager to experience all the love and fun that comes with it!
Cooper would benefit from training and socialization to help him become the best version of himself. Engaging activities and consistent guidance will help him thrive. A secure, fenced yard is essential for Cooper, as he is still adjusting to leash walks, which are new experiences for him. The yard will provide him with a safe space to exercise, play, and continue developing good house manners. He is not a good fit for an apartment or condo living. His energetic nature requires room to roam and play without the constraints of a small space or tether system.
Cooper gets along well with other dogs and has no issues with cats! He would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children who can match his energy levels and interact with him safely. Being a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Cooper will require regular grooming to keep his coat looking its best. He enjoys being pampered, so grooming sessions can be a fun bonding experience for both him and his new family!
Cooper is looking for a loving family or individual who can provide him with the activity, attention, and training he needs. A household with a secure yard, plenty of interaction, and perhaps a canine companion to guide him would be ideal.
