He is a bit timid when meeting new people but once he trusts you, he wants nothing more than to be by your side or in your lap. He is more timid around men versus women.  Downstream loves soft, cozy blankets and hanging out on the elevated dog beds. He hasn't shown much interest in toys yet but loves his food.  He is still working on his housetraining but doing well.  ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep him safe. Confident resident dog to help Downstream build confidence and continue to learn what being a dog is all about. Family with older, dog savvy kids only. Downstream has been neutered and tested negative for heartworm and tick-borne illness. He is current on vaccinations (rabies, distemper/lepto, and bordetella) & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cara is the sweetest little soul you shall ever meet. She came to rescue as a breeder release and with a tummy full of puppies. She was an excellent momma and is now ready to find a very special family to call her own. Cara loves everybody and loves to be the center of attention. She does great with all of the other dogs in her foster home but loves her people more than anything. She has done wonderfully with her housetraining as well. Cara does have some special needs and will need an extra special family because of this. She has chronic dry eye that requires drops 2-3 times a day. She also has a grade IV heart murmur with mild heart enlargement and has started Vetmedin (a heart medication given twice a day and costs around $100/month. Cara's medical needs will be discussed in depth with potential adopters.    ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Leash/harness walking is still a work in progress. Cara also has slightly impaired vision due to her chronic dry eye not being properly managed prior to coming to rescue. Financially stable family willing and able to provide Cara with the medications and specialized veterinary care she needs. Cara will need to be seen every 6 months or so for heart checks, etc.  Cara has been spayed and also had a dental. She tested negative for heartworm & tick-borne disease, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $350 plus tax. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 10:31 am
