If you’ve ever wished for a dog who acts like a mix between a cuddly teddy bear, a personal assistant, and a tiny tornado of love, Koala is your girl! This 9-month-old, 13-pound Cavalier King Charles Spaniel-Dachshund mix was rescued from the shelter and has been making up for lost snuggles ever since. Her mission in life? To be attached to you at all times—preferably curled up in your lap, but she’ll settle for sitting directly next to you, staring into your soul with her big, heart-melting eyes. Koala’s daily routine is a well-balanced mix of potty breaks, power naps, and professional-level companionship. She starts her mornings with a 20-minute walk between 6:30 and 7:00 AM—where she carefully selects the perfect spot to do her business (it’s an art form, really). After that, it’s breakfast time, followed by her most important duty: supervising her human while they work. She takes this job seriously—stationing herself in the office like a tiny CEO, making sure productivity stays high (translation: ensuring she gets pets on demand). Throughout the day, she gets regular walks every 4 hours and, in between, will either be playing, napping, or finding the coziest spot to curl up. While Koala loves everyone, she’s not a fan of being left alone. If you dare step out of the room without her, she will politely remind you that this is unacceptable behavior by attempting to redecorate your space (a.k.a. chewing on things she definitely shouldn’t). She thrives in a home where her humans are around most of the day—work-from-home folks, retirees, or professional snugglers, this is your moment. She’s still perfecting her potty training, so consistent walks (and patience) are key. If you forget, she won’t remind you—she’ll just assume you’re okay with surprises. Koala is equal parts playful and couch potato. Some moments, she’s zooming around the house, chasing invisible foes (or maybe just her own tail); the next, she’s melting into your lap like a warm, furry blanket. She’s met a few dogs and, after an initial “who are you and why are you here” bark, she’s happy to sniff and make friends. She’s great on a leash, sticks close to her human, and has the tiniest, most adorable wiggle when she walks. If you’re looking for a pint-sized best friend who will be your constant shadow, professional cuddler, and occasional shoe thief, Koala is waiting to meet you. She may be small, but her love is extra large!February 13, 2025, 1:51 pm
