Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Downstream is a very handsome breeder release boy. He is a bit timid when meeting new people but once he trusts you, he wants nothing more than to be by your side or in your lap. He definitely loves his foster mom and has no problem clearing a 2.5-foot baby gate to follow her upstairs. He is more timid around men versus women - he can be very protective of his foster momma. Downstream would do best in a home with women only or one gentleman who understands he will need ample time to warm up and may never be fully comfortable around him. Downstream cannot live with cats - he will chase them/has a prey drive. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep him safe. Family with older, dog savvy kids only. Downstream has been neutered and tested negative for heartworm and tick-borne illness. He is current on vaccinations (rabies, distemper/lepto, and bordetella) & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500 plus tax.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ruby is a super sweet cavalier who came to SFCR as a breeder release. She is loving life in foster care and learning all about what a dog's life should be.  Ruby does have a grade III heart murmur. Chest x-rays and an echocardiogram did not show any signs of heart enlargement or disease progression and heart medications are not needed at this time. This is something that will need to be monitored with x-rays and/or an echocardiogram every 6 months or so.  Ruby mingles very well with other dogs in her foster home and seems to really enjoy their company. She is working hard on her housetraining.    ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Financially stable family willing and able to keep up with Ruby's cardio care. Ruby would be happiest in a home with a canine companion. Ruby has been spayed and also had a much needed dental with a total of 15 extractions. She tested negative for heartworm & tick-borne disease, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400 plus tax. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.
