Story
Willow is a such a sweet dog. She absolutely loves everyone and loves attention. My parents adopted her in November. They were told she was around 3 yrs old. When taken to the Vet, they stated she was anywhere between 1.5 and 3 years old. She is fixed, microchiped and up to date on shots. Willow has a lot of energy and she needs a home that has playmates already. She loves playing with other dogs. As for cats, we are unsure. We have cats but the cats are not fond of another animal. She has chased them and barked at them but the bark is a playful bark vs an aggressive bark. She also needs a lot of room to run. She absolutely loves going for rides in the car. Being a German shepherd mix, she also has separation anxiety. She will go in a crate but she will destroy anything you leave in it or leave around it. She's not happy about being left alone.

Story
Ruby is a 2-year-old German Shepherd/Doberman mix. She is very high energy, athletic, eager to learn, and is truly the smartest dog I've ever met. We are choosing to rehome her because she needs owners who can meet her high activity needs. We are in the middle of a very stressful, drawn-out, cross-country move, and are unable to meet her needs sufficiently. She's bored. She's a good girl and a good listener in general, but is very excitable, wiggly, and licky. She's reactive with other animals and new people but warms up given time. She has lived her whole life with our cat and she is very good with him, but she is reactive when she sees other cats. She would do well with the right kind of dog: easygoing, friendly, playful, and patient. She loves, loves, LOVES fetch and will play endlessly. She drops the ball immediately as long as you have another ball to offer her, so we always play with 2 tennis balls. We don't throw the 2nd until she brings the first back and drops it.

Story
Rex is one of those happy go lucky, loveable German Shepherds that is a rare offering in the rescue world.  A two year old, 75 pound young dog that is a victim of divorce.  Like children, he is having to adjust to a new lifestyle and he must be rehomed due to his dad moving in with parents who are already at their limit for dogs. Everyone is heartbroken. Rex loves everyone and is good with cats, other dogs and adores meeting new people. He is housebroken, crate trained and not a nervous nelly like some Shepherds can be.  He is still growing and can stand to add a few more muscular pounds as he becomes a more mature adult dog.  Broken hearted is what his owner will be when he goes  but Critter Cavalry Rescue has promised to find the perfect Shepherd savvy home for him with a fenced yard, and someone with the time and stability to give this boy all he deserves in life.  Rex is an eager and easy student to train to be a family’s “everything” dog.  Please know this breed before asking to adopt.  They are dogs that cannot be ignored and left alone for 10 hours a day.  They love challenges that are both mental and physical.  Rex is a love of a dog, with no aggressive tendencies at all but he needs to know boundaries and you MUST BE A LEADER to him.  He will pace at first in a new environment because that is what GSD breeds do.  Change is tough on their intelligent heart and soul.  He is a true treasure for his breed.  If interested, please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 10, 2025, 1:49 pm
