** Who’s the Good Boy? You’re Looking Right at Him! **
Hello, I'm the dashing Denver!😊I'm a very charismatic, handsome, energetic, and affectionate German Shepherd mix boy. I’m about 1 year old and weigh in at 50 lbs. of loyalty and charm. All my buddies call me Denny…and you can too!
When we meet, you'll be captivated by my soft and shiny golden tan coat, these soulful eyes, and my irresistible smile. But hold on—before you get too distracted by my good looks—you’ll probably see me headed straight for my true love: toys and tennis balls. So, expect to see my wiggly butt and happy tail wags first! 😂
Speaking of tennis balls, wow, whoever invented those is a genius! 🏆 I can entertain myself with them for hours! I've even mastered the art of chasing after a ball with one already in my mouth. The volunteers crack up every time they see my cute antics and I just love to see them happy! 😂
Close behind tennis balls on my list of favorites is hanging out with my volunteer buddies. I LOVE playing and snuggling with them, and then flopping over for belly rubs. (And yep, I still have that ball in my mouth!) 😊
I might be a little reserved at first, but spend time with me, toss me a jerky treat and speak to me in that sweet, "baby-talk" voice, and I’ll soon be leaning on you, sitting next to you with my paw on your thigh or snuggling up, asking for head scratches.
I'm quite accomplished too! I already know how to “Sit,” go “Down,” and “Drop” a toy or ball. I’m now learning to “Come back” when called. I’ll “check-in” with you during sniffaris, and while I might get excited to read "pee-mails" at the start of our walkies, a “kissy” sound from you is all it takes to get me back by your side. Now, if only I could figure out how to fit two tennis balls in my mouth at once... 🤔
I also LOVE running along the fence with my shelter doggo buddies, so if you already have a doggo at home, bring them along for a supervised meet-and-greet to see if we hit it off! 🐶🐶
I might need a little time to settle into new places or situations, but with a stable home, patience, training and loads of your love, I dog-pawmise to work hard and gain the confidence I need to be the companion you need me to be.👍
Whether you're looking for a companion on your walkies or a snuggle buddy for those late-night sitcoms and snacks, I’m your guy! I'm ready to get my wiggly butt home—with a tennis ball in my mouth, of course! 😂
