Story
Meet George Are you willing and able to help with this dog? Please contact me. Introductions from the owner: George is a three-year-old Caucasian Shepherd / Central Asian Shepherd cross, weighing in at approximately 150lbs. George has a gentle temperament and currently is an indoor/outdoor dog and comes in at night to sleep and is trained to ask to go outside to relieve himself. Health and care: George has been neutered. He is up to date with his vaccines. For vet appointments as of January 17 he went in for allergy treatment for the allergy to pine sap and ear cleaning supplies. When George was younger, he had an unfortunate accident and was hit by a car. Although he used to have a slight limp favoring his back left leg, he has shown no signs of pain or discomfort in the past year. A Caring and Energetic Companion: George is a bundle of love and energy! He enjoys spending most of his time sprinting around the yard, playing tug, and seeking pets. George has a caring nature and is eager to share his love with the right family. He often snuggles up against anyone around him or appreciates someone standing next to him while surveying the yard. Training and Commands: George is very independent-minded, we have taught him to come, sit, and lie down. However, it depends if George wants to follow the instructions. Socialization: George has not been around farm animals, so we cannot guarantee how he will react in that setting. Nor has George been socializing with other dogs. We do have a cat at home, George wants to play with the cat but just ends up scaring our cat away. George has a few parts of living in Surrey that he is not a fan of: he is compelled to howl at sirens. And for people who stand on the opposite side of our fence, he needs to let them know he is there. Reason for Rehoming: Due to the covid, my partner cannot handle the sound of George barking without significant stress and pain. Unfortunately, she is at home most of the time to take care of George. We do not have the funds to put him in daycare or the strength or will to walk him on a leash without being tugged along when he sees a squirrel. He is stuck in our yard which seems barely big enough for him. We took him out of a rough situation but are barely able to take care of him

These pups are in Vancouver, British Columbia too!

Story
Meet this adorable male Anatolian Shepherd pup! Odin has a striking coat of brown fur, with a black snout that adds to his charm. He is full of energy, curiosity, and ready to explore the world around him.Odin should go into a home with for no small kids as he does resource gaurd food and treats. He is good around children if there is not food around for him to resource guard. This also means it would be best if he was the only dog in the home as well. He does like to play with other dogs so being able to take him to a dog park (without treats) or have play dates with other dogs would be beneficial. Odin is not the biggest fan of car rides so working on desensitizing him to that situation would be hugely beneficial. He really is a big, goofy puppy that loves to play in the courtyard and get pets from all the humans! Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet me. You can also submit an application online if I am in foster or you would like to save some time when you come visit. While we do welcome online applications, in person meets have top priority.dogs:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/Our visiting hours are:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 12-5Thursday, Public Holidays: closedSaturday, Sunday: 12-4 Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 21.1 Age: 0yrs 4mths 3wks

Story
*Currently fostered in Houston Texas, available for out of state adoptions via rescue transportation. Video meet and greet available prior to commitment* This dog is a collaborative effort between Moka's Mission and Houston Chow Chow Connection. Mocha is a fluffy mixed pup just eager to find her new lease in life. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas just moments before being euthanized. She is believed to be around 4 years old, and based on behaviors definitely has GSD, Chow Chow, and even possibly husky mixed in her as well. Current weight around 65, 70 lbs. Mocha is a smiling, eager to please, extremely intelligent pup who clearly has been desperate for reaching a potential that was never offered to her prior. She loves to play with toys now, ( was unfamiliar with on arrival) and can be quirky, and vocal during her playful bouts. A game of tug which result in some head pats is her favorite. She also is very smart, and when given attention and motivation is quick to learn. She already knows several basic commands including sit, shake, kennel, wait, settle, and leave it. She is extremely versatile and once she trusts you, will give you her best. If you want to go hiking or exercise, she is all about it. If you want a pup to relax in the home and enjoy a movie day, she is ready! She loves to curl up on the couch or at your feet when it's time to settle down, but when it's time to go she is the first one to be there and ready for you. She also loves to keep you company while you do the most menial house chore's such as laundry or dishes. Mocha clearly was kept away from other dogs and animals when she was owned previously, so we do think she'd be best as an only pup. Proper continued socialization training would be required in order for her to eventually be able to share space with other dogs, but she would need to be socialized as an only dog first before considering adding another in. She clearly has a desire to want to know other dogs and can walk by them and flirt while on leash just fine during walks. However, she hasn't had enough time and proper playmates to engage in playtime at present without being rough. Unfortunately, she is not ok with cats, which is to be expected of the breeds she possesses. Mocha is fully vetted meaning she is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and on monthly prevention for flea, tick, and heartworm. Her adoption fee and transport is dependent on services used. For more information on Mocha, please contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com, or to apply for adoption please fill out an application here: https://form.jotform.com/41173109602142

Story
Currently in a Toronto foster home Monroe is a one-year-old female English Shepherd with a beautiful coat that has a subtle grayish hue, giving her a charming appearance. Weighing 14 kg, she is on the smaller side, but she is full of energy and has a lively personality. Though she has a painful past of being abandoned, Monroe still has a warm heart that longs for love and attention from people. She loves to run around and enjoys playing with balls and toys. While she is still learning how to interact with other dogs and tends to prefer being alone, she is never aggressive. If another dog provokes her, she gets scared and avoids conflict, showing her gentle nature. Monroe is affectionate toward people and deeply craves love. At the training center, she sometimes whimpers when she sees people, hoping for attention. She may express anxiety when left alone, but that only shows how ready she is to be embraced by a loving home. She is friendly even with strangers, often approaching them with a playful attitude and asking for pets. She also takes treats well, showing her pure and trusting nature. If you understand the characteristics and temperament of an English Shepherd, you will be able to train Monroe gradually and grow together with her. Monroe is ready to give unconditional love and is looking for a warm and caring family to call her own.
