Wild the Lab Mix Puppy's Story Water is a stunning female lab mix with a beautiful brown coat and comforting eyes. She is a friendly, affectionate girl who can’t wait to have a family of her own. This puppy is part of our “Mint Litter,” a group of young puppies currently being cared for at a shelter in rural Texas along with their mother, Mims. Like many litters in the area, they were brought into the shelter at a young age and are now getting the opportunity to travel north in search of loving forever homes. At around eight weeks old upon arrival in Wisconsin, these puppies are just beginning their journey in life. Like most young puppies, they are curious, playful, and eager to explore the world around them. They enjoy spending time with their siblings and soaking up attention from the people caring for them. Their future families should be prepared for all the fun (and work!) that comes with raising a young puppy, including continued training, socialization, and plenty of patience as they grow. While their exact breed mix is unknown, they appear to be Lab-type mixed breed puppies, and we expect them to grow into medium to large sized dogs. As with many rescue puppies, breed and adult size are simply our best estimates based on appearance and available information. They are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped, and they will come with their veterinary records as well as an interstate health certificate from a veterinarian confirming they are healthy for travel. Vickey the Female Catahoula Puppy!'s Story Arriving in Wisconsin on March 20th! Vickey is a stunning 2 month old, female, catahoula leopard dog. She has a gorgeous merle coat making her coloring truly one of a kind. These puppies are part of a litter of Catahoula Leopard Dog puppies rescued in Texas. Their mother and father are both reported to be purebred Catahoulas, and the puppies have inherited the breed’s beautiful and unique coat patterns. Each one has striking coloring—from classic Catahoula merle patterns to darker gray and brindle coats—making every puppy in the litter truly one of a kind. At around two months old, these puppies are playful, curious, and full of personality. Like most young puppies, they enjoy exploring their surroundings, playing with their siblings, and soaking up attention from the people around them. They are still very young and will benefit from a family that is ready to provide the time, patience, and guidance that puppies need as they grow and learn. They are available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The remaining balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting and finalizing the adoption on Friday, March 20th. If, upon meeting, they are not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable.
