Story
Meet Brando- the sweetest, cutest little puppy in the world. Brando is 100% snuggles, sunshine and good times, just a little puppy looking for his forever family. We think Brando is a German Shepherd, Catahoula mix, though he is a rescue, so exact age and breed are a mystery. He’s around five months old, and still has quite a few of his puppy teeth! He weighs in just under thirty pounds right now, but he’s still growing! Watch Brando here: https://youtu.be/cQb2ondiOqY Brando is your typical puppy, all about naps, snuggles, playtime and food! He loves treats, and he takes them so gently already! Brando shows tons of signs that he’ll be a good dog when he grows up. He’s not mouthy, he’s learning his leash skills quickly, and he’s great at checking in with his humans during play time. He calms down quickly when playtime is over, and then it’s straight to snuggles. He’s confident and affectionate, and will climb up on the couch with you for some love! Brando LOVES belly rubs. With other dogs, Brando is all play! He’s super friendly with other dogs and instant BFFs with anyone that will indulge him in a game of chase. Here at the rescue, we cat tested Brando. Brando was playful, but not reactive toward our house cat Tom. See his full cat test in his YouTube video. Our behavior team believes that Brando could live in a house with kitties, so long as another dog is present to teach him proper kitty-etiquete. Brando is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. We are willing to test him with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen- just let us know. With any specific questions, please reach out to his adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Story
How often do you see a dog that is this striking? Well don’t just stare, let me introduce you! Her name is Isa and she can come across as a bit shy but Ill tell you, it is only because she is truly holding her best material for her biggest fans. Her best material is the sweetest kisses, goofy zoomies, and a silly playfulness that looks so good on her. We can’t say for sure of course but everything about her leads us to believe she is a Catahoula Leopard dog. Estimated to be 2 years old and weighing 48 lbs, she is a full-grown mid-size dog, which from experience I will say is prime snuggle size. If you know about the breed already you can skip ahead but if not, one of my favorite facts is that Catahoulas are the state dog of Louisiana so if you are a die hard LSU fan, this girl will wear your purple and gold with true pride. Beyond that they are independent and smart and loyal through and through. Isa’s perfect home is adaptable and we could see her thriving in a house with a yard to enjoy or an apartment. She does prefer the quiet life, you might even say she identifies as a country girl with no interest in big city life. Its noisy. As for other pets, Isa doesn’t mind one way or another. An independent male dog would make a great counter-part but she is perfectly content being an only dog. As for cats, we suspect her interest in them would lead to a fun game of chase (for her, not the cat of course) so a home without feline-friends would be best for her. Kids are welcome with understanding the her bit of shyness isn’t from lack of love, she is a bit like a new kid at school, help her learn her way around and be supportive, before you know it you’ll have a new best friend who is ready to show you all her cool spins and zoomies. Isa was introduced to several new dogs and did great, she was very tolerant and patient with a variety of dogs from calm to the high energy wild ones. Her shy approach isn’t as present with dogs but she does take a more aloof approach at first so a dog that is understanding or equally easy-going and aloof would be best for her. Isa is a cutie girl who is sure to bring you and everyone around you plenty of laughs and love. A girl like her won’t be available for long so if you are even slightly interested, fill out an application or send an email to kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
This handsome young man is named Parker Sparkles, and he’s looking for love! Parker is a complete sweetheart, ready to adore, and be adored by you. We think he would make an excellent companion dog for just about any fun-loving household, he would love to be your very own adventure dog! Parker would adore doggy parents with adventurous hearts, that will take him camping, hiking or just to the park! Watch Parker here: Adoptable Parker The Handsome Catahoula Mix https://youtu.be/5vw1DeaALyU We believe that Parker is a Catahoula, Labrador mix, however he is a rescue, so his exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Parker Sparkles is lovingly bestowed with such a fun name on account of his partial iris heterochromia in both eyes- he has brown eyes with these adorable, cartoonish blue highlights. We estimate his age to be around 1 year old, and he currently weighs in at 56 pounds. Parker has a huge, warm heart, and being a rescue dog, he’s learned to guard it. He can be a bit shy at first, but he warms up with soft voices, gentle pets and quality time. This is true for Parker with humans and dogs alike. Once he has warmed up to you, Parker is love in living form. He’s a gorgeous boy with so much love to give, his foster mom describes him as “affectionate, but not needy.” Every day, she’s greeted by excited little hops when she comes home. He’s a snuggler, and a total lap dog. Parker is a lover! Parker is currently fostered in a home with multiple other dogs, who he gets along fabulously with. He has a wonderful rough and rowdy playstyle with his canine companions, he’s always the life of the doggy party. Parker would appreciate doggy siblings in his forever home! This sweet boy is a complete toy lover as well. His favorite toy is a canvas frisbee with rope around the edges. He adores squeaky toys (and playing “surgeon” with them!) He loves his nylabones too, and could chew on them for hours. He shares his toys well, and adores playing tug of war and fetch. He bounds across the yard like a deer when he chases toys, it’s absolutely adorable. Parker is easy on leash, and considers long walks a love language. He’s an adventure dog at heart and amazing in the car. He loads and unloads by himself, settles in the backseat, and likes to look out the window. We’re not quite sure if Parker is a water dog yet, but we can say that he’s quite curious about his foster family’s pool! Parker likes to explore the edges of the pool, dipping his face under the surface from time to time. We won’t be surprised if he learns to love swimming! Parker’s perfect home would have at least one loving human to adore, but he’s not too picky about the rest. Parker could do-exist happily with doggy siblings, or he could thrive as a solo dog. He would love to have a spot on your couch, and something tells us that this boy would adore a place in your bed as well. Parker loves to run, and the sound of trucks and lawnmowers don’t faze him, so his foster mom suspects he would love the farm dog lifestyle! This handsome boy won’t be available long, submit an application to adopt today! We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Please email Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
This cutie is Pringles. He is currently 23 pounds, 4 months old, and we think they may be a Catahoula Leopard mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his life as well as the life of another in its place. Pringles is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play with his siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! Pringles is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/672a903f67358a13560da71e Please email tim@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $1000.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
