I get along with all of them, but it is time for me to be with my own family. I am a pretty strong and active dog, I walk well on a leash but sometimes when I see something interesting I can pull on the leash. I am working on it, but some things are just so tempting. I love to be active, so if you are into hiking, jogging, or playing fetch we would get along great.My foster mom says I am the sweetest dog, but she might be biased. Mowgli is a lovebug who is just over two and a half. He is a sweet, snuggly, velcro pit mix who is trainable and food motivated! He would be best suited to a house with lots of love, kids 12+, and a lot of people time. He likes to play ball and is very athletic. He likes a frozen kong with peanut butter after breakfast, a big piece of kale, and a snuggle any time. He is good but playful with other dogs, fixed, crate trained, house trained, and knows sit, stay, and place. He does need to be crated when home alone as he is still working on keeping his wits about him when left to his own devices-we did recently start some meds for him to help with this. He could use some leash training, this has been difficult to work on with another dog in the house, although in a familiar backyard he is able to focus. I am rehoming him as he would benefit from someone who can give him the level of activity he needs, and to spare him from an impending cross country move into a small apartment.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Say hello to Maverick! He is a stunning, 4-year-old, 56lb Catahoula/Border Collie mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Maverick is an awesome dog with stunning looks! He is super sweet and loves to be with his person. He also walks very well on leash and stays close to his handler, checking in quite frequently. He is still very shut down and shy, and requires time and patience in building confidence in new situations. Loud noises and sudden movements tend to scare him, so he is a flight risk and will need a handler who has a secure grip on his leash at all times. Maverick has done well with other dogs in our care and would be a great additional dog to a home. He would also do fine as an only dog with continued socialization. He is truly a sweet dog with a lot of love to give and is looking for a person to call his own! Maverick is UTD vaccinations, microchip, and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.
