Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Some dogs come to us with very special needs and BamBam is one of those dogs.  While he is a playful pup full of energy and affection, he is also extremely fearful of the world.  This fear can manifest into making him protective and reactive.  As his anxiety traits present a challenge, a quiet, experienced and patient home is required to address his needs.  He should also be in a home without children or other pets.  Among his many positive qualities, he is quiet, house trained, crate trained, and he will sit nicely and lift his paw for a treat.  He is extremely shy when meeting new people but once BamBam feels comfortable, he will be your loyal companion forever!    **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. Story
Ordinary Girl (OG) is a curious, playful, and intellgient girl.  She mastered 'sit' on day 1 - being food/treat motivated certainly helped!  She enjoys playing with the resident dogs, which includes chasing tennis balls, playing tug, and discovering new toys in the toy box and bringing them to her favorite dog bed. She plays hard, but will settle herself down for a rest when she is tired during the day.  She has slept through the night in the crate since we brought her home, usually about 8 hours.  Since she is busy during the day, she has been tuckered out in the evening and will usually chill out or sleep on her favorite bed for a few hours before going in the crate overnight.   She loves going on walks and hikes with our dogs and does well on the leash.  We are working on potty training - she definitely gets that when we go outside it means she needs to take care of business.  She's learning to signal when she needs to go outside, but still working on it.  OG loves her pack, but is also very friendly with all people and dogs we've met on our hikes. She is currently being fostered with two large dogs and a cat. While she has done well with the cat, the cat has mostly kept away from her. She is an active girl and would love a forever family that enjoys walking/hiking and playing fun games with her.    Adoption Day: April 4th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun! ##2689436##

Story
"Just A Girl" is Just A Joy! Well behaved and loving in a petite package. This little girl just wants to be loved & returned the love  She will gladly give you kisses and try to squeeze into your lap. I think she is trying to show how grateful she is.  Her whole little body goes into wriggle mode when you interact with her, it's adorable! She walks very well on leash. Very little pulling and is already mastering "sit". Justy does well in her crate, but prefers sleeping snuggled up to humans at night.  She absolutely adores dogs and children and would be happiest in a young family with another friendly, playful doggie sibling! Just has a very chill personality, not hyper, but playful, loves walks and cuddles equally! There is no mean bone in her body!! If your looking for an affectionate and playful young dog - this perfect package could be your girl  Adoption Day: April 25th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt.
