He has been with this owner since a puppy and was once a beautiful Blue Merle, but as he has aged his coat has gotten darker and his merle pattern is not as noticeable as it once was. However that doesn't change how beautiful he still is with his big ears. He is HIGH energy and wants to run, jump, play. He is not good for small children, elderly adults, and possibly some bigger children because he has been allowed to springboard on you when excited until now. We are working with him on this behavior and he has gotten better but still does it on occasion. He is super fun and adorable when playing with his toys and is very careful not to completely destroy them, just enough for it to be fun but not enough that they wont squeak anymore. He is a no for cats and has shown interest in chasing them and preferably no dogs since he was not socialized or taught manners with his previous owner, but he has done well in small bursts with other dogs so far. We are continuing to work with him to see if he could have a dog companion in the home. Leia will be 8 in September. She is honestly the best dog and so well trained. I got her with my ex 3 years ago and when we spilt last year I was the one that took her and have been trying to make it work. As a busy, single mom with no help with bills it has been extremely tight financially to try to keep up with her care, and I also don't have the time that she deserves. She so badly wants someone to just cuddle with her and love on her. She is very well trained and has always lostened well. She gets along with children and has always had positive dog interactions. She has lived in an apartment for the last 3 years. She would probably love a yard, but she would much rather be inside with you. She doesn't love walks. Loud noises make her skiddish. She will come with all of her items. She does have some incontinence issues that flare up but has always been managed with medication that was $40 a month.

In December, I found Midnight on the side of the road, completely malnourished and abandoned. He was with his brother who I named, Tiger. They were 100% relying on each other for survival and once i brought them home with me I started to notice how territorial and possessive Midnight was with his food, toys/bones and treats. Even Tiger getting near his crate (where he gets fed) he would get very upset. Recently they were in an intensive dog fight because Midnight had brought a bone in his crate and once Tiger got near he attacked him. It is an unfair environment for either of them so I'm looking to find him a home with no other pets. He is awesome with people and has never met a stranger. My petsitter is male and he does great with him. He will thrive in a space where he doesn't have to feel he has to protect his things. I'm not sure of his history so I don't blame him for being the way he is, I just want to help him. He is around 9-10 months, and seems to be catahoula and great dane.

I was left to fend for myself not knowing where my next meal would be. Luckily I was rescued and given my chance to shine. I have proven that I really really love people regardless of my early start with humans. I want to be loved so much that I will beg for just a head rub and lap snuggles. Yes I’m a big strong boy but I’m really a small lap dog disguised in a hound dog body. Do I give slobbery kisses, why yes, is there a problem with that? I love to run and play but if given a choice I’d rather be by my persons side. I would make a great adventure companion. Riding shotgun by your side wherever you go, that would be my doggie dream. Currently I share a foster home with lots of other all size dogs but I would really like to be your only ride or die dog. I’ve gone so long without one on one attention that I’m constantly competing for the attention. Am I perfect? Heck no but I’m a diamond in the rough, clay ready to be molded.
