Story
Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is Latte; I’m a 5 year-old Catahoula mix, weighing about 100 pounds. I’m pretty true to my breed: sweet, intelligent, loyal and don't really like negotiating too much. I need exercise and stimulation - but once I get that I am a couch potato just wanting to be around my people. I love car rides (especially going to Starbucks and getting puppuccinos) ! I love long walks where I can explore (I'm not a huge fan of buses and Amazon trucks but I am working on that). My real favorites, however, are treats, belly rubs, and hugs. I'll even show you a few tricks (I know how to sit and shake) if you give me a treat! I walk with my dog friends all the time with no issues, but I love my people so much that I prefer to be the only pet in the home.  My trainer (yep… I’ve got a pro trainer!) says since I am a confident dog, and small quick movements don't scare me I would be great around kids! I would always like a meet and greet first of course. I’d like to be with someone experienced with my breed, and willing to give me a bit of time to let me show them just how great of a dog I really am! I just need to settle in, adjust and get to know and trust you -  but once I do… I’ll give you SO much love. Please give me that chance! I’m working hard in my training to be the best dog I can be for you. My trainer said that, as part of the training program, he’ll even continue to work with my forever family at no cost (as long as you live in the DFW area). He loves and trusts me that much!  I can't wait to meet you! If you feel your home might be the right place for this VERY good girl, start with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes vaccinations and spay/neuter. Latte is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Zeva! I was adopted as a baby back in 2014. My parents moved and couldn’t take me with, so I am now looking for a new home. I would do best in a home with no other pets and older kids since I’m pretty tall and like to play rough. I wasn`t walked often before but the staff at Apollo is teaching me how not to pull so much. Its been a challenge but I know I can learn. I was born in December 2013, and I am 71 lbs. I am house trained, and crate trained. I am older but have a lot of energy and love to give. If you are interested in meeting me, fill out a pre application!

Story
I'm so proud! I passed my interview with flying colors, and I am now welcome to attend day or overnight care at Camp BowWow! My name is Xolo (pronounced Zolo), I'm almost 2 years old and weigh 78 lbs. Guesses are that my breed is Catahoula mix, but who knows? I'm looking for a family with room in their lives and home for a big boy. My foster dad says I'm a goofball, but I think I just like to have fun. The good thing is I have all the cool skills down. I am crate trained when my foster family is gone, I know to do my business outside and I sleep well through the night in their room. I would prefer to sleep on the bed with them, but so far they haven't been willing to let me up there. I'll keep trying. I walk pretty well on a leash, but I am strong so I'll need my new people to help me continue to learn to walk nicely by their side. If my new home has another dog, a nice female dog friend would be preferred. I would also do just fine as an only dog. I sometimes have a rowdy play style, but I just need to be reminded to settle down. At the end of the day, I am incredibly loving, surprisingly gentle, and I will become your true best friend. I need the right home to accommodate a dog with a booty and personality of my size. Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Meet Oliver! This sweet, energetic little guy is a catahoula/dachshund mix with a stunning Merle coat that makes him one-of-a-kind. Born on September 30, 2024, Oliver came to us as a single puppy from the shelter, battling an upper respiratory infection and at risk of being euthanized. But like the brave little pup he is, Oliver fought through it and is now thriving in his foster home in Colorado. At just 6 lbs, Oliver is already showing off his big personality! He’s full of energy, love, and curiosity. Whether he’s running around with his tiny legs going a million miles a minute or exploring every nook and cranny of his world, Oliver is always on the go. And when he’s done, he’s ready to curl up and soak up all the attention and snuggles he can get. Oliver is looking for an active family that will match his energy and give him plenty of love and attention. He’s still working on his training, but with a family who can help him grow, he’ll be the best little companion. If you’re ready for a playful, fun-loving pup who will always keep you on your toes, Oliver is waiting for you! Colorado Local: Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, and microchip with registration. All animals must be spay/neutered before they are adopted or have a signed vet letter showing exemption this can be discussed during your interview process . https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/57167/generic Note: MNS reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals that fall under our care. ##2254777##

We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##950302##
