Story
Lucy is 6 months old and weighs 22 pounds. The vet said she will grow to be about 40 pounds. She is the sweetest puppy girl! She is playful and likes to cuddle. She is potty trained, crate trained and does not bark a lot. Beautiful puppy girl with big, sparkling eyes and soft, floppy ears, she is a bundle of joy. Her coat is soft and no shedding that begs to be petted. She is full of energy and loves to bounce around, chasing after toys and exploring her surroundings. This little explorer is curious about everything, from the fluttering leaves to the sounds of the world around her. She has a wonderful sweet side and does not bark a lot. After a fun play session, she loves to curl up in your lap, snuggling close for some cozy cuddle time. She is potty trained! Friendly and outgoing, she adores meeting new people and other dogs, making friends with everyone she encounters. Whether it is a lively romp in the yard or a quiet evening indoors, this puppy brings joy and laughter wherever she goes! Lucy is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.

Story
Bubba is the whole package. He’s playful but an adult, medium-sized so that he can run around taking walks, but also likes to cuddle. He is trained (earned a certificate at What A Good Dog! school for basic commands), loving, watchful and loyal. The only two possible negatives are that he sheds a little bit and barks when he hears loud noises or knocks on doors. The shedding can easily be handled by brushing him, which he loves, or else just sweeping the floor. The barking can be a plus if you are looking for a free alarm system. He will follow you to whatever room you go into and then chill with you there. He loves his humans and wants to please. If he gets off the leash or the front door is left open, he will not go far bc he wants to be with you!

Story
We adopted Sadie in California and has been with us for just over two and a half years… wonderful years. We are in process of moving from California to Dallas, Texas, and cannot keep while we are temporarily housed in a tight place. She is super intelligent, athletic, active yet loves to relax and cuddle, is typically a one person dog, is communicative (minimal barking but cute sounds when needing to go outside or do something), loves to play with other dogs, people and is great with children, she is typically a bit cautious at first and warms up to everyone. Awesome, beautiful girl.

Story
COURTESY POST: Hello everyone! My name is Annie (short for Anakin)! I’m a super happy, upbeat, loving, 60-pound, approximately 2 year old female Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix. I’m an amazing dog that LOVES kids, other dogs and spending time with people. I’m very strong and may look intimidating, but I just want a belly rub, time playing with my toys and taking naps in your lap. My favorite games are Tug-of-War and Hide & Go Seek. I love playing Hide & Go Seek because when I find you, I’m truly thrilled and I can cover you with slobbery kisses. Afterwards, we can play again! Also, one of my favorite pastimes is to jump on the trampoline with my person. I love to have fun with everyone! Some important details about my health: I have all my shots, I’m spayed and I’m in good health. Furthermore, I am potty-trained, crate-trained and very food-motivated! Unfortunately, my life was not filled with too much joy in my early months. I had puppies, but tragically, they were taken away from me a few days after they were born. Also, I was kicked out of my home and had to find refuge in the cold, dark streets right after I had just given birth. When I was found, I was very thin, scared and sad. Nevertheless, I’m doing much better now and I can’t wait to find a new home! I hope you can consider adopting me because all I want to do is love, be loved and play together! If you adopt me, we will be best friends forever! We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
Howdy! My name is Latte and I am a 5 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog (mix). I LOVE hanging out with my people, riding in the car (especially if we go to my favorite spot â&#194&#128&#194&#147 Starbucks for puppuccinos), belly rubs, walks, and treats! Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m gentle, especially with young children, and my favorite thing to do is to play on the trampoline with my doggie friend Zeus! I know basic commands and will â&#194&#128&#194&#156shakeâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 as long as you give me a treat. I weigh about 100 pounds and have the most beautiful eyes â&#194&#128&#194&#147 one brown, one blue! I had been in a shelter briefly when the pandemic broke out. I was adopted, but when things got back to normal, I was returned to the shelter because my adopter decided they no longer needed my company and thought I might be better off in a home that offered more permanent circumstances. When my time in the shelter came to an end, some volunteers rescued me, trained me, and saved my life. Now, I am in a temporary foster home, waiting for my very own person or family who will take me â&#194&#128&#194&#156homeâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 forever. I am spayed, microchipped, heartworm-negative, and up to date on all my vaccines and monthly preventatives. My current foster home has lots of children (of all ages), who are around me all the time. I LOVE them! I am very patient and gentle with children and I love when my kid friends play tug-of-war with me. There are also several other dogs, with whom I enjoy playing (I must admit, I prefer a confident male dog). In all honesty though, I am not a huge fan of cats. I am a very intelligent lady and respond well to instructions. I am pretty true to my breed and would love someone who is familiar with my breed so that I can shine and be the best dog for you! I would love a backyard to play in and spend some of my energy, but once Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m done, I just want to be next to you and be a couch potato. Ideally, I would love to be with someone who works from home, someone I can lay next to all day. Should that someone need to go to work outside the home, I do well in a crate. I am crate-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained (although I donâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t really like loud buses or trucks). My rescuers, who to this day still support me, work long hours and also have cats. That is why I am staying with my foster family, waiting and looking forward to my forever home where I can show you how great of a dog I am! I have lots of Love to give; would you take me home forever and let me show you? I promise, I will be your best girl.
