Story
Moxi is looking for a loving foster home where they can rest and recover while receiving medical treatment. Reason for Foster: Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) Foster Time Frame: Approximately 1 to 2 Weeks (The foster timeframe may vary depending on recovery and any follow-up medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Moxi is being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. While recovering, they may have symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, and nasal/eye discharge. Because URI can be contagious to other dogs, we recommend keeping them separated from resident dogs until they have fully recovered. They will go home with medication and all the supplies needed for their care. Once treatment is complete, they will return to Operation Kindness for their spay/neuter surgery and adoption. How to take this pet home: Adopt: Moxi is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows prospective adopters to take pets home before they are available for adoption. Visit Operation Kindness and speak with our Client Services team. Foster-to-Adopt placements are first-come, first-served. Foster: Interested in fostering this pet? Email foster@operationkindness.org.

Meet Nora, a delightful girl with a heart full of love and a zest for life! This charming girl adores snuggling up close and soaking up all the affection she can get. Nora absolutley loves the water - whether it's a bathtub, pool, or a small splashing pad. Her playful spirit shines when she plays fetch with you and returns her favorite toys, always ready to impress with her "drop" command. She's also a quick learner who already knows how to sit and is eager to master new tricks.   This sweet soul is on a quest to find her forever home to share her boundless love. Due to her gentle nature, Nora would thrive best in a home without small children, as she can be easily startled. Imagine Nora by your side, her tail wagging with happiness as she cuddles up for belly rubs and endless affection. Nora is a polite and loving companion, waiting patiently for the perfect family to welcome her into their hearts and home. Are you ready to give Nora the forever home she deserves? ##2283475##

Story
Ellie is a wonderful, beautiful and very smart dog. She gets along with other dogs very well, but can be a handful around smaller dogs. She does not know here own size, but dogs her size are just fine. She does not have a bad bone in her body. She loves chewing on her kong, earning her treats. She is leash trained and knows several hand signals. We are still working with her on checking in regularly. She has not been around kids, but cannot imagine that will be an issue with her temperament. Ellie is deaf and has received professional training from On the Ball K9 Training in Denton, TX. She will stay on your side but can get distracted. She will sit and stay when told and is pretty content on her "place" as long as she has some entertainment. She is crate trained and sleeps in a crate. Her favorite activity is going on long walks, but even more, she will play fetch with you until she absolutely wears herself out. And then, once you think she has had enough, she is ready for some more. She loves fetching tennis balls and ropes throws...and will bring them back to you almost all of the time, unless she gets distracted. She will then sit when you tell her and release the toy for another round. Ellie was born mid-2015 and weighs approx 90 pounds. ##628903##

Volt is being fostered in NC. Volt has some vision. update Volt is doing well! He lives for cuddles at night before going to bed in his crate. During the day he has one speed and that is lightning fast. His favorite treat is carrots and he will do anything for them but lay down, lol. He has a pretty good recall and knows sit. He is fully potty trained and goes to the back door when he needs to go out. He plays so gently with his foster mom's mini aussies and rough and tumble with Elektra (corso) and Trigger (lab). Volt had some grand mal seizures that were caused by Simparica Trio. These lasted about 3 weeks with lingering focal seizures. He is still on keppra and he's doing great! He has not had any seizures in the last 3 months. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately

Story
Wrangler is being fostered in PA. Wrangler has some limited vision. Haroo, my foster Mommy said I had to give an update on me. I am now 11 months old! She has been helping me deal with something called Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. Man, thems big words. I will just call it what foster Mommy says, EPI. It means that that pancre-something thing inside me doesn’t give me enzymes so I can digest proteins. So foster Mommy puts enzymes in my food to help me with that. Also, Mr Vet Dr said because of this EPI thing, my B12 level in my blood is low, so foster Mommy gives me a shot every other week of B12. I am a good boy for those and don’t even feel them, as long as I hold still. Other than that, I am still learning various commands. I tell foster Mommy when I need to go out. I sleep all night with foster Mommy. I love playing with other dogs and cuddling with humans. I can sometimes get scared when I don’t know someone, but will warm up to them especially if they have treats. I am okay with older children. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Hi there! My name is Tallulah, but my friends call me Talli. I’m a one year old, medium sized pup with the sweetest eyes; I’ve been told they can melt hearts! I’m a gentle soul who loves being around people, and I dream of finding a calm, loving home to call my own. I’m a pretty quiet girl and don’t spend too much time playing. Loud noises and fast movements can scare me, so I feel happiest in peaceful, cozy spaces where I can relax by your side. I promise I’ll make the perfect snuggle buddy! My foster home has other dogs, and I don’t mind that at all, I just don’t spend a lot of time playing with them. I met a cat once, and that was scary! On the plus side, I’m potty trained and crate trained, so I’m already prepared to be a great housemate. All I need now is a family who will love me for the sweet, gentle girl I am. If you have a calm home and a heart ready for love, I’d be so happy to be your new best friend! Love, Talli A note from the kind people at my Rescue: Talli is the sweetest girl, she wasn’t feeling well when we rescued her from the shelter. They thought maybe she had been injured. We noticed right away that she was leaking some type of discharge so the amazing veterinarian team at Mazie’s Mission Rescue Clinic got her in for an x-ray immediately. It was discovered then that she had an Open Pyometra, which is basically an infection in the uterus causing pus to drain from the uterus. The cure for this is antibiotics and spay surgery; which we promptly took care of for her. She has felt so much better since and is fully healed and healthy now! Talli is also up to date on all of her vaccinations, is microchipped, and is clear of any infections! She is a year old and 38 pounds. If you are interested in learning more about her let us know by applying at www.maziesmission.org/adopt

Story
FROM THE FOSTER: The Vet estimated his age to be between 1 ½ to 2 years old. He is neutered, current on all vaccinations and microchipped. He is also house trained. One of the foster's Boston Terriers is 1 ½ and the two of them get along great, play together all the time and have never had an issue. Two older Boston's are not as crazy about him. They get jealous when he gets the attention. His personality is so sweet, he just wants attention and to be loved on. He gets very excited each morning when my wife gets up and is vocal in that special loud hound dog way. He is very sweet and loves to be cuddled and tries to climb on us like the little ones do. Because of being abandoned, he can be a little anxious if one of his foster's is gone. Jack will need a home where at least one someone is there all the time. Jack loves playing with Wubbas or any other rag type toy. He plays by himself by running around the yard and throwing the toy in the air. The older bostons sometimes do play tug-of-war with him and will chase him all over the yard trying to take the toys from him. His typical day is laying on the porch, couch, or in my chair while my wife is working. Then running around the yard and playing with the toys when she gets a break. Once I get home we all go out and throw the toys for all the dogs to fetch, chase each other, and play tug-of-war. Each night he will sleep on a dog bed in our room, or on the couch in my wife’s spot.
