Story
www.pet-tender.com/adoptionform.htm   Moo Moo is a shy but sweet dog.  She will need a home that has dog experience and is willing to give her some decompression time and love.  If given the time, she is a wonderfully, quiet and mellow girl with a playful side.   She would love to have another companion to help with her confidence and her playfulness.  Please give this wonderful girl a chance but if you are not willing to put in some time and patience....she is not the girl for you.  You will not be sorry.  She is spayed , microchipped and vaccinated.   We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here. March 18, 2024, 12:23 am

Story
Meet Rex 4 year old Rex is looking for his forever home. He is a very special boy, very happy and sweet. He greets people with a happy face and plenty of tail wags. He is friendly and eager to please. Rex loves getting love and attention. He especially loves back rubsHe is learning every day and progressing in his training. He's been through a lot so will need a patient adopter who will love him unconditionally. He needs a lot of enrichment. He loves going for walks. He loves playing with squeaky toys. He doesn't like Kongs or toys that make him work for treats. He gets along with other dogs and plays well with them. He doesn't like to share toys but he is working on it. He lives with cats but needs slow introductions. Once he is used to them, he will keep his distance. He has a BB gun pellet on his left front paw and it bows down when he walks but it doesn't slow him down. If he's tired or wants to stop, he will let you know. He also lets other dogs know what he permits or not when playing to protect his paw.Rex thrives on a routine and exercise. When not exercising, he loves to sit on the couch with his people and his toys.He is very curious and loves exploring and sniffing. He has good manners and walks well on a leash. He is smart, knows how to sit and takes treats gently. He is house trained but prefers to do his potties on walks instead of the back yard. He is a bit clumsy because of his leg so sometimes he'll need help getting in the car or in a bed.He does well in boarding, day care and the vet but is not a fan of the bath. ##2106669##

Story
Hey there, I'm Julian! I'm a little over a year old, weighing around 55 pounds, and believed to be a Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pit Bull Terrier mix. I'm just a young pup with a heart full of love and a spirit that's always ready for fun! I spend my days playing with my friends, sniffing out new smells, and-of course-chasing my tail. My absolute favorite thing in the world is a good belly rub. Oh, and treats! I can't forget about treats. I'm always eager to learn new tricks, especially if there's a tasty reward involved. At the end of an adventurous day, I love nothing more than curling up for a cozy night's sleep. I'm a bundle of joy, and I promise to bring so much happiness into your life. If you're looking for a playful, loving, and loyal companion, I could be your perfect match. Ready to meet me? You can apply quickly and easily on our website: foothillshumanesociety.org Applying doesn't obligate you to adopt, but it makes the process smoother if you decide to! You can also visit us in person at: 989 Little Mountain Rd, Columbus, NC 28722 Wednesday through Sunday, 11am-5pm For any questions, feel free to email adopt@foothillshumanesociety.org or call (828) 863-4444. Story
www.pet-tender.com/adoptionform.htm   Meet Brittany, a spayed, two-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound, a southern beauty who elicits compliments wherever she goes. Miniature for the breed at 40 pounds, Brittany has lots of teenage energy and would do best in a home with a large fenced-in yard. Likely a hunting dog abandoned for, well, not hunting, she’s a happy, loving soul, bashful at first, but quick to connect with her special people. Through the efforts of her trainer and foster parents, Brittany walks well on the leash, even over long distances, and can be trusted not to have accidents in the house if taken out regularly.  She has quickly gained confidence with the sights and sounds of suburban life and recently had a fun first visit to the beach.  Most of all, Brittany adores affection—she has the unique ability to grip onto you lovingly with her front paws and lean in for minutes while you rub her velvety soft, short coat. Brittany would be fine as either a solo dog or with another young dog of a similar playful spirit and size.  This is a unique opportunity to own an uncommon breed with lots of personality. We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here. March 18, 2024, 12:23 am

Meet Tip! Tip is the best companion. He responds well to food training on the leash and playing catch with the ball. Tip loves to be around his peeps! Tip wants everyone to know he is faster than you, can jump like a deer, and is getting quite good at balancing on his back feet. And that is no cap! The lad has mad skills! If you need some motivation to move, Tip is your boy! Tip would do best in a home with no small children and an owner dedicated to training and mental stimulation for this workin boy!  He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Tip is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT TIP!! www.LuckyPupRescueSC.com The adoption fee is $300.00 and we require a vet check and home visit. October 28, 2024, 5:24 pm
