Story
Meet Genevieve – The Playful and Adorable Adventure Buddy You’ve Been Waiting For! Genevieve is a stunning, 1-year-old pup who’s ready to bring joy, energy, and maybe just a little bit of mischief to your life! At around 50ish pounds, she has an athletic build and enjoys being active. Her soft, white fur with those gorgeous brown speckles is absolutely irresistible, and don’t even get us started on her magnificent, moo-cow pointy ears that seem to have a life of their own! Add in the striking brown markings around her eyes, and you will fall in love with her sweet face every time you look at her. Her piercing eyes are like windows into her playful, adventurous soul—this girl is ready for any fun that comes her way. Whether it's a brisk walk, running alongside the bike, a quick car ride for a pup cup, romping in the yard with the other dogs, or an engaging round of puzzle feeders (because she’s got a brain as sharp as her natural eyeliner!), Genevieve is always game for a good time. And did we mention how much she adores fluffy pillows and fleece blankets with some soft tunes on the radio? It’s the one time when she can really relax following months in a cold, noisy shelter. Genevieve is athletic, energetic, and incredibly smart—she's the perfect companion for anyone who loves the outdoors and wants a dog to keep up with them. Her flaws? Well...there's a few. We lovingly refer to her shenanigans as moments of menace. The sweet “love nibbles”? Genevieve’s gentle affection sometimes comes with an overexcited pinch. Oops!). You like your shoestrings neatly tied, well she doesn't. She's somehow figured out how to untie your shoes with a quick pull. Her house manners, are in development, so we’re looking for a family who can work with her and continue her training—her sweet nature and eagerness to please will be so rewarding to watch her thrive with solid structure and boundaries. After everything she’s been through, we’re amazed at how much progress she’s made in foster care. We know Genevieve isn’t perfect, but she is 100% lovable, fun, and always ready to make new memories with you. If you’re looking for a loyal, adventurous, and fun-loving companion who’s ready for a lifetime of adventures, Genevieve might just be the girl for you! So, are you ready to meet the dog who will steal your heart and make you laugh every day? Apply to adopt Genevieve today—she can’t wait to find her forever family! --- To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html

Story
Sadie is an extremely loving 50lb catahoula/Pit mix female who was born on October 7, 2021. What a beauty she is and one with great manners.  She is fully potty trained and crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Sadie comes from a neglect situation and is eager to make up for all the cuddles and play time she didn’t receive growing up in her former home. She has an extremely resilient personality and an eager to please temperament. She sincerely craves human interaction and will follow you around the house to be a part of everything you’re doing. When hugged, she likes to hug back by tucking her head around you and pressing in. She cooperates very well for bath time and settles well on car rides. Sadie behaves nicely in public spaces and happily accepts belly rubs from strangers. She has very limited experience around children but is happy to meet everyone she comes across. She is not recommended to homes with very young children simply for the concern of potential knocking them down. She has learned to sit when she wants to be pet, but may occasionally jump up if overly excited. Sadie must go to a home without other pets due to resource guarding around dogs (this does not apply to humans, she is submissive toward humans) and prey drive toward cats.  Her energy level is medium-high. She loves playing fetch to burn off energy, and would probably run for hours if given the opportunity, but she can also settle calmly on those days when it’s stormy or you’re too busy for intensive exercise. She likes to entertain herself with her toys, and is particularly fond of carrying the stuffed toys around to show them off. She needs someone who can deeply connect with her on an emotional level, and would be well suited to the role of emotional support animal (please note: due to resource guarding she is not suitable for the role of service dog, which is different from emotional support animal).    If you want to give this girl a great home to thrive within, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue  at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 18, 2025, 3:31 pm

Story
Noel`s short 2 year life has not been the best. She was found stray in SC, thin, hungry and had a litter of puppies. The puppies were taken in by a local rescue but she was left behind in a rural, 10x10 kennel. She LOVES people, walks great on leash, rides well. Her issue seems to be a lack of trust in other dogs. We had her assessed and were told she could be trained due to her general sweet nature. For now, we feel a dog free home is best and if that owner would commit to training with Noel, she would likely end up learning that dogs aren`t out to hurt her and can be her friend. Noel is in paid boarding since we have no foster home for her. We hate it. Likely all she`s known in life is being stray, caged, unloved, pregnant and a hungry mama caring for her babies. Help us turn her life around! She will reward you by being a faithful companion and lots of kisses. 2 yrs. 43 lb. Spay, vaccines, microchip provided.

Story
Hi, my name is Cooper!I am a goofy, loving boy looking for my forever home! I have been in the shelter for a while now, but no one can quite understand why. I am very intelligent, cuddly, sweet, and loyal. I do not bark much, but I love to `talk` to my people. My foster mom never understands what I am saying, but I love to make her smile and laugh. I have been abandoned before, so meeting new people can be scary for me. I might bark at new people, but everyone knows that I am just scared. Once you show me love (and some good treats) you will be in my pack for life! I`m a little weary of kids, so I`d love to have a home with none or older kids that can respect my boundaries! I am always excited for an adventure, but I could also happily lay on the couch all day with you. I am highly food-motivated, so training is very easy with me. I am very respectful of rules and boundaries, but I need someone who is going to be respectful of my boundaries too. I am fully house-broken, and can be trusted alone outside of a crate. I would love a forever home with loving people who live a quiet, low-key lifestyle. I need patience with my training and time to allow me to learn how to live a worry-free life. My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! I will also have a free yearly exam and core vaccines for the rest of my life with the Wetness Clinic. What more could you ask for?Our adoptions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Tuesday through Saturday. Please complete an application online and you will be contacted if you are approved and a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.
