Story
Sadie is an extremely loving 50lb catahoula/Pit mix female who was born on October 7, 2021. What a beauty she is and one with great manners.  She is fully potty trained and crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Sadie comes from a neglect situation and is eager to make up for all the cuddles and play time she didn’t receive growing up in her former home. She has an extremely resilient personality and an eager to please temperament. She sincerely craves human interaction and will follow you around the house to be a part of everything you’re doing. When hugged, she likes to hug back by tucking her head around you and pressing in. She cooperates very well for bath time and settles well on car rides. Sadie behaves nicely in public spaces and happily accepts belly rubs from strangers. She has very limited experience around children but is happy to meet everyone she comes across. She is not recommended to homes with very young children simply for the concern of potential knocking them down. She has learned to sit when she wants to be pet, but may occasionally jump up if overly excited. Sadie must go to a home without other pets due to resource guarding around dogs (this does not apply to humans, she is submissive toward humans) and prey drive toward cats.  Her energy level is medium-high. She loves playing fetch to burn off energy, and would probably run for hours if given the opportunity, but she can also settle calmly on those days when it’s stormy or you’re too busy for intensive exercise. She likes to entertain herself with her toys, and is particularly fond of carrying the stuffed toys around to show them off. She needs someone who can deeply connect with her on an emotional level, and would be well suited to the role of emotional support animal (please note: due to resource guarding she is not suitable for the role of service dog, which is different from emotional support animal).    If you want to give this girl a great home to thrive within, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue  at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 18, 2025, 3:31 pm

Story
*SPECIAL NEEDS - PLEASE READ FULL BIO* Celyn! Celyn joined us on December 30, 2023, and we were thrilled to ring in the new year with her. We hoped her stay would be short, but sadly, this sweet girl has been waiting almost 9 months for her forever home. Celyn is a unique and special pup—she’s deaf and partially blind, which sadly causes her to be overlooked time and time again. 💔 ✨ Age: 1 year old 🤫 Weight: About 45 lbs—truly the perfect size! 🐶 Breed: Catahoula Mix (or as we like to call her, a Spotted Secret Keeper) 👃 Special Abilities: SUPER Scenter! Celyn can sniff out anything—her favorite volunteers, a meal, or treats on the way. She may not hear with her ears, but she hears with her heart. ❤️ 🏃‍♀️ Dreams: Celyn wants to run track in the 2028 Paralympics! We haven’t told her yet that the Olympics are only for humans. 🤫 ⚡ Activity Level: Pretty high—she loves to run in the play yard and zoom around with her doggy friends. 🧸 Toys: BIG fan! She’s happy tossing toys to herself or playing with friends. 🍖 Treats: Treats are life! 🥾 Love hiking? So does Celyn! Her disabilities don’t slow her down—she enjoys long hikes with her active volunteer buddies. 💬 Need a secret keeper? Celyn’s your girl. She can’t hear your secrets, so she’ll never spill them! 🐱 Cats? She hasn’t been tested, but we’re happy to try if someone applies for her! 🐕 Dogs? Celyn is a social butterfly and loves her dog pals. 👧 Kids? She does amazing at events and loves meeting kids of all ages! She might get a little in your bubble while sniffing everyone out, though. 🏡 Ideal Family? Active, patient, and excited to train a special-needs dog. Even though Celyn is focused on her Olympic dreams, she will need her family to also be willing to train her as well. Deaf dogs are amazing creatures and are easily trained, often with things like hand signals and other training techniques. Obviously even more care than usual should be taken to make sure she does not accidentally get out off leash as she cannot hear you calling her back and can't hear dangers like cars coming. She may also be partially visually impaired. She does so well, it is really hard to tell! For the boring stuff: Celyn is crate trained and has been working hard on her housebreaking. She prefers going potty off-leash and would benefit from having a yard where she can roam and find some privacy for her bathroom breaks. 🚽 We all need a little alone time, right? She’s been sniffing for her forever family for far too long. This sweet girl is ready to find her home and start her journey to the 2028 Olympics in LA. 😉 Celyn's adoption fee includes her spay, age appropriate vaccinations and microchipping. She is up to date on deworming and preventatives. Interested in Celyn? Story
adoption donation : $699 weight  45 lbs  Age 7 months as of 1/15          Wyatt is a sweet and friendly boy who is great with other dogs and loves everyone he meets. He was found all alone in a pasture in a rural part of Mississippi, when the Wags director spotted him and called out, Wyatt came running over, tail wagging.      At the rescue, Wyatt is having a grand time romping with all the dogs and snuggling up together for puppy power naps!  He hasn’t met any cats, but he is a mellow boy and doesn’t appear to have a prey instinct and would likely be fine with them.         Wyatt is house trained at Wags but like any rescue may need a refresher course while he adjust to a new home. Wyatt is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines. He is a sweet loving  boy who will make a wonderful family dog.    Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. For more information on adopting Wyatt or any of our many Wags dogs please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com    January 26, 2025, 8:58 pm

Story
Yardley is the definition of a cuddle bug. She is extremely friendly and loves to give kisses. She is eager to learn and very food motivated. She knows sit and stay. She is for the most part potty trained. And will go to the door when she needs to be let out. However, if ignored, her tiny puppy bladder makes it hard for her to hold it and she will pee. Yardley sleeps in her crate at night. She does cry during the day if left in there. We are going to work with a trainer to correct this. She loves our resident house dog and just wants to cuddle up with her. Yardley may be part kangaroo and can jump very high! Her lease manors are ok, she does pull but again we will work on that with a trainer. She would make a great adventure buddy.

Story
Magenta is the best dog ever! Sweet, gentle, affectionate, playful, and good in any situation. Great with kids and dogs and we can cat test. Magenta is 4 or 5 years old and 53 lbs of wonderful. So unique looking with her cocoa colored merle, and such a pretty girl. She was used as the meet and greet dog for both humans and other dogs, at the shelter she was in, down in SC. She is a must meet, for she will steal your heart for sure. Better photos to come... LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions! We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER dogs are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health.  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile. We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $695 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)   February 1, 2025, 9:02 am

Story
Ahoy there me mateys. Sea Biscuit (aka Steve) is looking for a new first mate. He’s been shipwrecked for a while and would love to sail on to his final port (a good home.) Sea Biscuit has more than a little in common with a certain Captain Jack Sparrow. Both are devilishly handsome, both a bit impish and both have hearts of gold. Sea Biscuit is an energetic 3yr old weighing about 60 lbs. He’s currently living in a home with several dogs and gets along best with dogs that match his energy (medium-high) because he is very playful. His foster home has cats as well and they may find him a little annoying because he wants to play with them all the time and they just tolerate his silliness. SeaBiscuit enjoys car rides, sleeping in his person’s bed and is a health nut known to enjoy cucumbers and carrots as a snack. His foster describes him as a bouncy kangaroo who’s cuddly, energetic and would do well in an active home that provides him with lots of exercise (any runners out there?) and structure. SeaBiscuit needs to sail away to a new foster or preferably an adopter and comes with an offer of a training package so he can leave his pirate ways behind. Check out my YouTube Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/cv12D8OLm5s https://youtu.be/k2iwT3VPRjw Age: 2.9 years Weight: 62 lbs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative and on prevention Temperament: Good with other dogs. Good with older, respectful kids. Training, House trained, crate trained, knows several commands Email for questions: sonaligokhale@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.
