In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Scrappy is looking for a home! Please share! Scrappy was abandoned, left in a house without food or water. Thankfully a young man took him in but then moved out, leaving Scrappy with his grandmother. She’s been taking care of him, but she didn’t sign up to have him, and isn’t in the position to keep him. He is a smart boy and learns quickly. He would like to be a lap dog! He is about 2 years old and about 60lbs. He is house trained but will mark in the house because he is not yet neutered. He is young and playful. He has some separation anxiety but that may lessen with more exercise and more playtime. He currently lives with another dog and being with the other dog seems to really help with the separation anxiety. He is a counter surfer and constantly looking for food.He needs to be taught to walk on a leash and be socialized. This dog has so much potential!! Please consider him. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.11/22/24 Aries came to us as an owner surrender. His family was unable to keep him due to living arrangements. He is a good boy and is very friendly. He is a very high energy dog and needs a family who will provide him with a lot of exercise. He enjoys playing with other dogs and gets along very well with the other dogs in his foster home, with the exception of one intact male. The other males in the home are neutered and he does well with them, including a tiny 4 lb chihuahua who he plays with. He also plays with the larger dogs who are fixed. We are unsure if he doesn't get along with the one because of that dog not being neutered or if it is just a personality conflict. Aries was not yet neutered when he went to the foster, so with both of them being intact, that could have been the problem. We have had them both neutered now (just this week) and we are hoping they will do better once their hormones calm down. Aries is house trained and enjoys interacting with the pre school aged child in the home. He is very much a catahoula personality, with a need for exercise and stimulation. He can be stubborn, but he also loves big and is a lot of fun to be around. Aries is only about 8 months old. He weighs 46 lbs. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and heartworm negative. He is a good boy who would benefit from some training, but has the potential to be a great buddy. He would do great as an agility dog or just a hiking/running partner! Story
Hey everyone! I’m Violet, a 11 month old Catahoula Leopard dog who is a “HIP HOP gal with a Zest for Life” just needing some direction and Love! At about 70# of soft short fur, gorgeous blue eyes and a pink and black nose. My disposition is gentle, loving but resistive to trust totally making me shy away at times. I really needed some socialization and exposure to the real world, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I got sent to “Doggie Boot Camp” for a crash course in doggie etiquette! Since moving in, I’ve been living and eating with “6” other doggies. They are teaching me the better things in life! “Go for Walks”, “Go for Rides”, “Play Catch Me if you Can”. “Frisbee” and TIME TO EAT! My palate has also been tempted with the likes of “Sweet Potatoes, Bananas, Animal Crackers and PEANUT BUTTER”!!! I've been to PetSmart, Tractor Supply, Boiling Springs Lake and lots of other places.  Still crated at night and during a work day, I do enjoy my time out/about with my “Furry Four-leggeds”. We do eat and take treats side by side, NO AGRESSION from ANY OF US!! I’ve become “ONE OF THE TROUPS!" Actually, mom walks “5” of us at one time! That’s how good the TROUPS stay in formation! Having become a “Velcro Girl”, my foster mom is WHERE IT’S AT! But NOT WAY do I ever his her, my routine is to BUMP HER with my NOSE! Yes, Really!!! Note from the photo shots, I also helped Mom win a medal at Gulliver’s Run on 11/3/24. What a  BLAST  meeting other dogs, people and running the 5 K (3.1 mile) trail run that benefited dogs with cancer. Foster mom says I’m a “Soft Soul” waiting to live my best life. Although a BIG pup, I’m try to be gentle, I'm not crazy wild, but lovingly calm, have a “Soft Touch Mouth” and my “Beautiful Sky Blue" eyes reflect my outer and inner beauty still working to come out! So, that’s my scoop. I’m Violet a beautiful young girl with a lifetime of love to give!  I'm ready and willing to be someone's BFF!  DOB: 12/11/23 Voilet is a purebred Catahoula Leopard who is  spayed   and ready for her forever home.  She is very friendly with people and other dogs.   To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash. ~Adoptable PGA Pete- Meet our handsome 35 pound boy, Pete! PGA Pete is about 9 months old and is people, dog and cat friendly! His foster raves about him and we know he will make someone/a family VERY happy!  Pete is inquisitive and silly and is doing well with crate training. Pete is continuing to progress with potty training when taken out routinely, but will need a patient adopter who will pick up on his signals to go out while he is still learning the “potty training ropes.” We are looking for a committed adopter, willing to take him out routinely for potty breaks, who will use positive reinforcement training techniques, and is willing to make a lifetime adoption commitment. Pete is neutered, microchipped, on monthly prevention, has been dewormed, and is up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations for an adoption fee of $450. https://form.jotform.com/fairytailsrescuemd/dogpuppy-adoption-application #fairytailsrescuemaryland #adoptme #fureverhomeneeded  #maryland #adoptabledog #adoptable #rescuedogNovember 22, 2024, 4:55 pm
