Story
Violet is a name evoking beauty, grace and power of nature. Although only 7 months old weighing approx. 40#, once my initial excitement is over, I have a demeanor of a violet, beautiful inside and out, affectionate, eager to please, with soft light blue eyes that stare longingly for my person’s love. I do have a fun loving, goofy side as well that is game to romp and play with toys, great with other dogs, children, adults and can be acclimated to cats!  Known in the rescue as a “Velcro Dog”, once attached, I’ll be yours for life! My eyes are a BEAUTIFUL SKY BLUE, coat is soft, short with ears black/gray/white and patches of light brown. My body has occasional patches of same colors that will probably increase across my body as I mature. Still a puppy in a kennel environment, I do have a lot yet to learn, but Catahoula’s are known to be Very Intelligent and Trainable! We are also agile, friendly with strangers and a great family dogs.  My personality is showing I have a “soft mouth”, enjoy being cuddled and wanting to be with my person. So, that’s my scoop. I’m Violet a beautiful young girl with a lifetime of love to give!   DOB: 12/11/23 Voilet is a purebred Catahoula Leopard who is  spayed   and ready for her forever home.  She is very friendly with people and other dogs.   To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Story
Jackie O came to us as a stray and never reclaimed. She was very nervous upon first entering the shelter and it took some time for staff to gain the trust of her. Jackie O will need a patient family who will allow her time to learn to trust. She is sweet, and playful once she opens up, but could use some more leash manners. Apply today if you think Jackie O might be the right fit for you! She’s food driven and supper playful When I got her I worked to build her trust. Got her march of this year. Thing she learned how to do. Sit Stay Center Paw Crate. Things she needs to work on Lench. Not being gentle when giving food.

Alabama came in as a stray and no family ever came looking for him. He's about a year old. Alabama is very strong and would greatly benefit from basic training to make him into the best dog he can be! He loves people but seems to dislike other dogs.

Story
My son, am Iraq and Afghanistan vet, has severe PTSD. He adopted this dog 2 years ago. The dog is a very good dog. Great with cats, children, and other dogs. My son's PTSD has him in a rehab facility and I am watching his dog and cats temporarily. We discussed whether he wants to keep them, and he knows he cannot. He has not abused Athena in the least, he is very loving to her. She is very smart and knows most commands, and learns very quickly. I travel for a living (Tech support), and cannot keep her.
