Ahoy there! SeaBiscuit here, looking to sail away to a good home! Landlubbers say I have gorgeous coloring and am rather unique looking (I would say aye to that.) I narrowly escaped being euthanized for space at an overcrowded shelter but a kind family saw my photo and decided to foster me. Talk about lucky!! Here are a few things to know about me. I am an energetic mate but settle down quickly. My fosters say I just melt into them and can’t get enough cuddling and snuggling. I am good with their teenage daughter and love her so much. I am friendly, playful, fun, know sit, give kisses, affectionate. I am house trained and crate trained. I know sit, lay down commands and I am working on touch, focus, turn, and stay commands. What else do you need to know? I have enjoyed the company of other dogs at the shelter and am trying to make friends with the dog in my foster home, except he’s taking his time to get to know me. We would like to introduce a very special rescue dog to all of you and her name is Pretty Pearl. Her foster mom says that she has been through fire and back and now she has the character of beautiful PEARL, like in an oyster. She has been formed by adversity and yet her spirit is pure sweetness and love. She has the markings and coloring of a Catahoula mixed with maybe a little Beagle which is what makes her all the more loving and easy going. At about 5-6 years old and just a perfect medium size at just 40 pounds, she is the perfect companion to someone who lives in a smaller environment like an apartment or a townhouse. She truly has an endearing calmness and mellow approach to life and all the people around her notices this unique quality immediately. Nothing ruffles her feathers at all. I take it all in stride and just smooth the edges if needed and keep on going. This girl is the perfect companion to someone that is in an apartment environment or a townhouse. She is small, a couch potatoe that will most certainly be an outstanding companion during the winter months when life seems to slow down and cozy companionship is most desired and welcomed. She was found living outside in horrible conditions and was full of ticks and fleas and very skinny. Well soon she was introduced to the luxury of an inside lifestyle at her foster home and she has NEVER looked back. She goes outside to do her potty breaks and rushes right back inside to keep her human fosters company. Now, if you are outside with her then all is grand. She is a skilled girl on a leash and if you want a hiking or walking buddy then Pearl is ready to go! She has had NO accidents in the house since coming to the foster home. Amazing statistics for a dog that lived outside all her life. Maybe she truly just feels like being called “Queen” Pearl now. She sure is being treated like a queen and she wants to stay in that kind of lifestyle. We think Pretty Pearl will be a wonderful well-kept secret for someone looking for the best companion ever in the world. Pretty Pearl will be the best dog you have ever owned in your life. Meet BAM! Bam is now 2 years, 2 months old and 62 lbs. He was abandoned in McKenzie, TN at a rental property. HOW HORRID! He had much higher energy back in Feb 2023. But with an AMAZING, dedicated foster Mom...Bam has established a regular exercise routine and he has nicely smoothed out his energy now. Bam's 'thing' is his georgeous blue eyes. They look like jewels glistening at ya! I did the breed app check. And if shows mostly American Fox Hound with mix of Louisianna Catahoula Leopard. I'm going with it as his breed has had us puzzled. Bam is great with all the dogs in his foster home...of both genders, all ages, and various breeds. He is good on leash, rides well, crates & house trained. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Atlas is the guy for you. His unique looks and amazingly sweet and inquisitive personality are products of his rich breed mixture. Atlas (also known as "Mr. Steal Your Heart and Pillow") enjoys long walks, short car rides, exploring, cooling off in creeks, lounging around the house, playing tug, unstuffing plush toys, wrestling and playing the bitey face game with his doggy sibling, cuddling in bed, and anything else that allows him to spend time with his family. At almost 3 years old, he has outgrown most undesirable puppy behaviors, but is still an active boy who requires adequate exercise. He does well with children and other dogs. He has done well with cats! He likes to lead walks and can be overly eager to meet new dog friends, so some training in those areas is recommended. He also gets overwhelmed in busy settings and sometimes experiences stranger danger so it is advised to avoid crowded settings unless addressed by a trainer. He is overnight crate trained, but he becomes anxious when left in the crate for extended periods of time during the day so his ideal home would have a pet parent who is home for the greater part of the day. Atlas is learning how to pull carts. He is a very smart dog and seeks to please his owners. Atlas is house/potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. Meet Nyx! Nyx is a 16 week old Catahoula-mix puppy that loves to play! She currently weighs in around 10 pounds and has been introduced to dogs, cats, and kids and done well with each. She would easily integrate into a home with any type of family. Nyx loves to play, as most puppies do, and would love to be part of an active lifestyle! With proper training this pup could easily become your running, hiking, or travel partner- she has no fear! Nyx is working on crate and house training and doing well, but will need time to acclimate to a schedule in her new home.
