Story
Gus is a ~2 year old hound that was a stray before we adopted him in September 2023. He was clearly abused before coming to us and has made amazing progress. He is sweet, goofy, playful, and cuddly. He has been very good with our 3 year old son, but we want him placed in a home without young children. He has some separation anxiety and often chews things up when left at the house. We sadly need to rehome him because he bit my husband. He bit out of fear and when trying to get away while being reprimanded for chewing up something when left alone. He has never bit before, but as he is sensitive to stress we worry our anxiety over this would put our son at risk. The ideal home for Gus would be: child-free (I would trust him with kids visiting); active; compassionate owners who understand he was previously abused; structured (kenneling when left alone, enforcing manners like no jumping); other dogs in the home; someone we could stay in contact with to hear about him
