Story
Meet Rex 4 year old Rex is looking for his forever home. He is a very special boy, very happy and sweet. He greets people with a happy face and plenty of tail wags. He is friendly and eager to please. Rex loves getting love and attention. He especially loves back rubsHe is learning every day and progressing in his training. He's been through a lot so will need a patient adopter who will love him unconditionally. He needs a lot of enrichment. He loves going for walks. He loves playing with squeaky toys. He doesn't like Kongs or toys that make him work for treats. He gets along with other dogs and plays well with them. He doesn't like to share toys but he is working on it. He lives with cats but needs slow introductions. Once he is used to them, he will keep his distance. He has a BB gun pellet on his left front paw and it bows down when he walks but it doesn't slow him down. If he's tired or wants to stop, he will let you know. He also lets other dogs know what he permits or not when playing to protect his paw.Rex thrives on a routine and exercise. When not exercising, he loves to sit on the couch with his people and his toys.He is very curious and loves exploring and sniffing. He has good manners and walks well on a leash. He is smart, knows how to sit and takes treats gently. He is house trained but prefers to do his potties on walks instead of the back yard. He is a bit clumsy because of his leg so sometimes he'll need help getting in the car or in a bed.He does well in boarding, day care and the vet but is not a fan of the bath. ##2106669##

Story
Sweet sweet sweet boy Behr came to us covered in white paint and infested with all kinds of parasites. He is now healthy and ready to find his forever home. He is a bit over a year old, gorgeous coloring, super friendly, good with other dogs and walks well on a leash. He currently weighs around 55 lbs. If you think this boy could be a great fit in your family, please continue to read and fill out our on line application. RECOMMENDATIONS & PROCEDURES Please note, the following are recommendations for puppies and different breeds of dogs. We will evaluate each application on an individual basis to see what is best for the dog/puppy and the potential adopter. Puppies are very fragile and not toys. We recommend children be at least six years old to be considered to adopt a puppy. Small breed dogs ( such as chihuahuas, yorkies, shih tzus , etc) we recommend children be at least eight years old. Herding, working breeds we recommend children to be at least 12 years old. Again these are recommendations. Adoption Procedures: We will travel up to two hours ( one way) to do physical home visits and we do not do virtual home visits. ( we are in Cleveland County NC) Most of our dogs come from bad situations and we want to know where their forever home is going to be. While we do not require fencing on all dogs, certain dogs that need a fenced in yard, will not be adopted unless potential adopter has one. We also adopt some dogs to people who live in apartments ( as long as the landlord approves) but not all dogs. We do not adopt to anyone under 21 years of age. We also do not feel college students are the best fit for most of our dogs. Most of our dogs again, come from bad situations and need lots of attention. Most college students have financial responsibilities and we feel need to be focused on school. Our goal is to match the dog with a family that fits the dog’s needs. We are solely focused on what is best for each dog in our rescue. These dogs have had enough moving around, dumped out like trash, and we want to ensure they find their forever home. We do require you sign a contract and if at any time you cannot continue to provide for the dog, the dog comes back to the rescue. Your first step to adoption is filling our our on line application. You will then get an automated email stating we got your application Next our adoption coordinator will be in touch either by phone or email If your references check out, a home visit will be scheduled. After the home visit is done, a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in and/or any other available dogs we have will be scheduled If the dog and you are a match, contract will be signed and you may take your new family member home. Story
Luna is a goofy dog with lots of personality. She is sweet, loves attention, and is incredibly smart. She learns new commands almost instantly and is eager to please. All you need is a few treats and you can teach her just about anything! We adopted her at 7 months old and while it took her a few days to settle in, she has been a great addition to our family! We are sad to be rehoming her, but a cancer diagnosis in the family has left us without another option. She is on a small dose of anxiety medication but otherwise has no medical concerns. She does well on a leash, is amazing around kids, and enjoys meeting other dogs! She has a brother dog who is also needing to be rehomed. While we would like to keep them together we know that may not be possible. Luna needs a family with a safe outdoor space that can give her a little bit of time daily to keep her mentally engaged, and she would love someone who likes to snuggle. She is not a big fan of the car but loves adventures.

Story
www.pet-tender.com/adoptionform.htm   Moo Moo is a shy but sweet dog.  She will need a home that has dog experience and is willing to give her some decompression time and love.  If given the time, she is a wonderfully, quiet and mellow girl with a playful side.   She would love to have another companion to help with her confidence and her playfulness.  Please give this wonderful girl a chance but if you are not willing to put in some time and patience....she is not the girl for you.  You will not be sorry.  She is spayed , microchipped and vaccinated.   We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here. March 18, 2024, 12:23 am
