Meet Loki, the charming one-eyed wonder pup! This sweet 1-year-old Catahoula mix has had quite the adventure- he came to our rescue after a little "eye-opening" experience with a cat scratch (pun totally intended!). Unfortunately, his previous owner couldn't afford the surgery he needed and decided he wasn't the right fit anymore. But don't worry! Our amazing rescue partner swooped in like a superhero, giving Loki the care he deserved and helping him start fresh. Even with his injury, Loki holds no hard feelings toward his feline friends- he's like the dog version of "forgive and forget!" Just a little reminder: every cat situation is different, so it's best to approach with a sprinkle of caution (and maybe some yummy treats!). Now, this resilient and adorable pup is on a mission to find his forever home, where he can spread love and joy like confetti! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mega is the most precious pup who is special needs and deserves the best home! Although considered special needs he's really your average puppy. He is around 14 weeks old as of September 2, 2023. He currently weighs 20 pounds and he is the sweetest and happiest guy. Mega came to us at just 4 weeks old. His eyes did not fully develop so he is completely blind. He also has a mild case of hydrocephalus but as of now he has no symptoms. We were not familiar with this condition so we have had guidance from our vets but also joined a group on facebook called hydrocephalus in dogs. It has been so helpful and also encouraging. There are many dogs that live happy healthy lives with this condition. Mega is currently on on generic prilosec which is cheap and available over the counter. This is encourage for dogs with his condition. Mega is so happy all of the time. He loves toys, other dogs, cats, all humans, giving kisses, snuggling, car rides, playing tug of war, and he sits on command. He is very treat motivated. Although he is blind he gets around very well. He knows his way around my house and knows exactly where the food and water bowl are. He can even climb steps but does need some help getting down them. He really is perfect in so many ways, and he will make the right family the perfect companion. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines including rabies, microchipped, and current on heartworm prevention. Rhea: Female, catahoula mix, 1 year old Come meet our adoptable dogs Friday 4-7pm and Saturday 11-3pm at 114 Londonderry Turnpike in Hooksett NH. Please submit an application prior to Open House if you hope to adopt on Saturday. Appointments are also made for the dogs throughout the week. Unless otherwise noted adoption fees range from $575 on adults and $650 on puppies and adults. Adoption fees reflect the costs we incur on vetting and transporting the dogs. We believe Ric could be a pure bred Catahoula Leopard Dog! And words used to describe the breed describe sweet Ric perfectly: inquisitive, intelligent, energetic, gentle, independent and LOVING. Ric is highly food motivated and is willing to learn anything quickly for a treat! He’s good on a leash, and due to his hound nature would do best with a fenced in yard— he can be a wanderer. He surprisingly passed our cat test with flying colors! He was so gentle and even submissive to the grown cat and 5 kittens we have. Though he is extremely gentle, he could use some manners! He may be prone to counter surfing if he ever got the opportunity, but with work he’d make an amazing house dog! He’s great with every person he meets, and every dog so far. Since he’s a hound, he may would chase pocket pets, as it’s his nature. Ric would make a great running partner, couch potato… really he’d fit into any family as long as he gets love!
