Rhea: Female, catahoula mix, 1 year old Come meet our adoptable dogs Friday 4-7pm and Saturday 11-3pm at 114 Londonderry Turnpike in Hooksett NH. Please submit an application prior to Open House if you hope to adopt on Saturday. Appointments are also made for the dogs throughout the week. All Motley Mutts Rescue's puppies are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. All adult dogs are also tested for heartworm prior to transport that are older than 6 months. All puppies and adult dogs will have seen a NH vet for a health certificate within 14 days of adoption. Unless otherwise noted adoption fees range from $575 on adults and $650 on puppies and adults. Adoption fees reflect the costs we incur on vetting and transporting the dogs. All Motley Mutts are in NH for you to meet to see if there's a connection prior to adoption.

We believe Ric could be a pure bred Catahoula Leopard Dog! And words used to describe the breed describe sweet Ric perfectly: inquisitive, intelligent, energetic, gentle, independent and LOVING. Ric is highly food motivated and is willing to learn anything quickly for a treat! He’s good on a leash, and due to his hound nature would do best with a fenced in yard— he can be a wanderer. He surprisingly passed our cat test with flying colors! He was so gentle and even submissive to the grown cat and 5 kittens we have. Though he is extremely gentle, he could use some manners! He may be prone to counter surfing if he ever got the opportunity, but with work he’d make an amazing house dog! He’s great with every person he meets, and every dog so far. Since he’s a hound, he may would chase pocket pets, as it’s his nature. Ric would make a great running partner, couch potato… really he’d fit into any family as long as he gets love!

Sadie is an extremely loving 50lb catahoula/Pit mix female who was born on October 7, 2021. What a beauty she is and one with great manners. She is fully potty trained and crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Sadie comes from a neglect situation and is eager to make up for all the cuddles and play time she didn’t receive growing up in her former home. She has an extremely resilient personality and an eager to please temperament. She sincerely craves human interaction and will follow you around the house to be a part of everything you’re doing. When hugged, she likes to hug back by tucking her head around you and pressing in. She cooperates very well for bath time and settles well on car rides. Sadie behaves nicely in public spaces and happily accepts belly rubs from strangers. She has very limited experience around children but is happy to meet everyone she comes across. She is not recommended to homes with very young children simply for the concern of potential knocking them down. She has learned to sit when she wants to be pet, but may occasionally jump up if overly excited. Sadie must go to a home without other pets due to resource guarding around dogs (this does not apply to humans, she is submissive toward humans) and prey drive toward cats. Her energy level is medium-high. She loves playing fetch to burn off energy, and would probably run for hours if given the opportunity, but she can also settle calmly on those days when it’s stormy or you’re too busy for intensive exercise. She likes to entertain herself with her toys, and is particularly fond of carrying the stuffed toys around to show them off. She needs someone who can deeply connect with her on an emotional level, and would be well suited to the role of emotional support animal (please note: due to resource guarding she is not suitable for the role of service dog, which is different from emotional support animal). We have open adoption hours 11:30am-5pm daily - no appointment or application needed. Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat areas will remain open to walk through.
