Story
MAMA RUTH I might be small, but I've got a BIG heart that's just waiting to love you! I'm a 1.5-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog with the prettiest brown and black Merle coat, weighing in at a petite 40 lbs. Right now, I'm hanging out in the shelter getting all fixed up with my heartworm treatment, but what I really need is a cozy foster home (or a forever one!) to relax in and get all the cuddles. Here's a little more about me: Affectionate - I've got so much love to give, and I can't wait to share it with you! Eager to Please - I'm always looking to make you smile, whether it's sitting by your side or following commands like a champ. Friendly - I'm a social butterfly who loves meeting new friends, both two-legged and four! Good with Dogs - Got some doggo buddies? I'll fit right in. Rides Well in the Car - Road trips? Yes, please! I'm ready to hop in and be your travel buddy. Yard Required - I love a good yard to play and stretch my legs, especially while I'm healing up. Oh, and guess what? Fostering is FREE! That's right-the shelter picks up the tab for all the food, treats, and medical care. All you need to provide is the snuggles (which I am an expert at, by the way)! Click this link to fill out an app to get this cuddle session started! https://www.straypawsrescue.com/forms **If you would like to adopt, please fill out an adoption form which can be found on the animal's profile page at www.straypawsrescue.com #FosterLove #SnuggleBuddyNeeded #CatahoulaCutie #AdoptDontShop #FreeFosterFun #straypawsrescue #MakeADifference #AnimalShelter #StrayPawsStrong #RescueHeroes #adoptdontshop #dogsofstl #whosavedwho #rescuedismyfavotritebreed

Story
Introducing Hondo, the loyal and brave companion you've been waiting for! Hondo is a true good boy, showcasing his friendly nature with both people and fellow furry friends. He strikes the perfect balance between confident and respectful, making him a wonderful addition to any household dynamic. While Hondo may be a bit head shy when it comes to leashes, it's a trait rooted in his past experiences - his ears once caused him discomfort. But with patience and understanding, he's slowly overcoming this challenge. This resilience highlights his adaptable nature and willingness to grow. Crate training is a breeze for Hondo, reflecting his cooperative spirit. He's well-versed in the art of sitting and enjoys eating a peaceful meal. These traits make him a joy to train and a promising companion for both new and experienced pet owners. Hondo's ideal home is one that's lively and active, as he thrives in an environment where he can stretch his legs and engage in the joyful act of running. With a strong recall foundation already in place, he's open to further fine-tuning this skill. This warrior-dog's name is music to his ears, and he responds to it with enthusiasm. Though his recall could use a bit more polish, his eagerness to learn shines through. Hondo's adaptable and resourceful nature, coupled with his receptive attitude, make him a loyal partner for all your adventures. If you're seeking a four-legged friend who embodies both resilience and companionship, look no further than Hondo. He's ready to stand by your side and show you the depths of his affectionate heart. Don't hesitate to welcome this valiant spirit into your home! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Flynn Ryder is a remarkable young Rhodesian Ridgeback who has overcome incredible challenges with grace and resilience. Despite losing his hind right leg to cancer at a young age, Ryder has not let this setback define him. His outgoing personality, intelligence, and overwhelming friendliness make him a joy to be around. Ryder's love knows no bounds, as he adores all animals and is quick to shower people with kisses. After a day full of adventures and play, Ryder's favorite thing to do is snuggle up with his loved ones. He is crate trained and has mastered basic obedience, showcasing his determination and eagerness to learn. Ryder was diagnosed with bone cancer which resulted in a rear leg amputation at 12 weeks old. He is currently showing no signs of cancer but it potentially could return at some point later in his life. The loss of his leg has never slowed him down, he has always been the happiest and sweetest of boys and can run just as fast, if not faster than the other dogs in his foster home. Ryder's foster describes him as the most affectionate and loyal companion she has ever met. He greets everyone with the sloppiest of kisses and is always wagging his tail. His ideal home would be an only pet home or a house that has another dog that likes to play. He does well on a leash and is almost completely potty trained and is crate trained. Ryder loves to go for car rides and to just be included. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire and my foster can plan for us to get together and meet! You can go to www.nttsars.com to fill out the questionnaire under "Available For Adoption" > How to Adopt". Someone will get back to you soon!!   As always, my adoption fees include Spay/Neuter, Microchipping, and Up to date vaccines (while in shelter).October 30, 2024, 2:18 am
