Story
Jolie is a sweet 7 year old, 49 lb, Catahoula mix. She's a little lady that wants to give you love and affection and loves to be petted and loved in return.  She is always so happy that her tail wags constantly, back and forth, back and forth.  She’s older so she’s a little slower and she loves to go on walks, walking along with you and doesn’t pull you down the road.  Walks with Jolie are very pleasant.  She is very affectionate and wants to be the only dog to receive your affection so it would be best if she were in a one dog home.   One problem:  She snores!  When she’s sound asleep she snores pretty loud, but she sleeps on her bed on the floor so it’s not really bothersome at night.  It’s just funny to watch/hear when she naps during the day.  She is completely potty trained to go outside and when she wants to come in, she just jumps up and down happily so that you know to let her in.  Rabbits in your garden?  Not with Jolie around!  Every night that she goes out potty and sees a rabbit she runs like the wind to try to catch that rabbit, and she will chase it until it leaves the yard.  That is the only time that I’ve ever seen her move so fast!   I hope that Jolie can find the wonderful, loving, forever home that she deserves. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Jolie’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Meet Reed Low, the perfect 35-pound pup who’s ready to score big in your heart! Named after a beloved St. Louis Blues enforcer, Reed Low is full of energy and playfulness, just like his namesake on the ice. While he hasn’t quite mastered doggy games like fetch yet, he loves interacting with humans—and he's hoping you'll coach him through it! His dog-friendly nature makes him a great teammate for other pups, and he's all about getting close for some lovies.  Reed Low is the ideal size for hiking and outdoor adventures, and though he may jump up with excitement when he meets new friends, he’s overall gentle and sweet. His enthusiasm might be a little much for very small children, but we know he’ll be quick to pick up some pointers with a bit of guidance. At 2 years old and likely a Beagle/Catahoula mix, he’s the perfect age for training and bonding. Sadly, Reed Low came in heartworm positive, but he is finishing up his heartworm treatment and he’ll be cleared for full activities soon—just in time to join you on all your adventures. Are you ready to show Reed Low the world of snuggles and help him achieve his MVP status in your family?
