She walks well on leash and enjoys going for quiet walks around our property. She has been friendly to all men, women and children she has met. She is microchipped and up to date with vaccines. She will be spayed prior to adoption. Rhonda has tested positive for heartworms (not contagious), however, treatment is available through HSSM`s wellness clinic at a lowered cost to her adopter. Her adoption fee would be $35.

Story
Utah is a four-month-old male Catahoula Leopard/Hound mix that is the literal cutest. He is the last of his litter and is ready for an awesome family just like his brothers and sisters. Utah has been at the shelter since he was just 8 weeks old and he doesn’t know a stranger. He’s a sweet and social guy that gets along brilliantly with other dogs. He loves to run and play. It seems he really enjoyed the recent snowstorm with plenty of yard zoomies in the snow at his recent foster’s house. Utah is a smart boy that has learned to walk well on a leash and is eager to learn some new commands to keep his mind sharp. His favorite treat is peanut butter and I’ve even seen him do a little happy dance when he knows he’s getting some. Make Utah your guy and you’ll have a silly and sweet life-long companion that only has eyes for you!

Story
UPDATE!!&#226&#156&#168 This beautiful girl is Mercy. She was saved along with her siblings last week from a not so good situation. She’s a gorgeous Lab/Catahoula. She’s 12-14weeks old and 13ish of pure sweetness. She is extremely smart and doing well with training for her age. She adores children and is great with other animals. She is utd, spayed and ready for her forever home!  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications!
