Hello, I'm Eeny! My days are filled with boundless energy and playful antics. I love a good game of fetch, followed by some serious cuddle time. I'm always ready to learn new tricks, especially if treats are involved. My favorite part of the day? When volunteers come to play with me. I wag my tail so hard, I almost lift off the ground! I've got so much love to give and I'm just waiting for my forever home. Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend who will bring joy and laughter into your life. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2189761##

Story
Hello, I'm Meeny, a young, mellow soul with a heart full of love. I adore cuddles, spending quiet moments with my human friends, and showing my loyalty in the sweetest ways. I'm gentle, always careful not to play too rough, and I've got this calming presence that my human friends say makes their day better. I'm not just a puppy, I'm a friend, a comforter, a loyal companion. I can't wait to find my forever home, to be someone's best friend, to share in their joy and comfort them in their sadness. Adopting me would mean gaining a loyal, loving, and mellow friend for life. *** Meeny suffered a broken leg prior to joining rescue. It was not set correctly, so it looks a little funny, but she is not showing signs of pain. It will be important for this little one to recieve joint supplements throughout her life to help keep her feeling good.   If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. Story
A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $300.00 will be applied during the contract process Hi! My name is Dozier and I am from Minnesota. From his foster: Don't let his silver muzzle fool you! Dozier is a middle-aged silver fox with lots of pep in his step, a silky smooth coat, and a very distinguished look. Dozier is fully potty trained and can be left home alone without being crated. During the day, he's happy to lounge around the house, be by your side as you perform your daily tasks, or melt into your lap for snuggles. At night, he would love to share your bed and keep you warm. Dozier's biggest challenge is his reactivity to dogs. This means he'll bark and get very stressed when he sees another dog even from a significant distance. Sometimes other things like a person walking by or dogs barking can also set him off. We are diligently working with Dozier to change his associations with these triggers and are starting to see progress but it takes time and patience. Despite his reactivity to dogs, Dozier has built a positive relationship with our other foster dog who is also dog-reactive. They both needed their own space as they got used to each other and slow introductions with integration over a couple of weeks. Now they play together, relax together, and enjoy each other's company. We're confident that Dozier could build a close bond with other dogs if done gradually. What would help Dozier thrive? -An adopter who understands that Dozier is not the type of dog you can take to the neighborhood coffee shop, a busy lake for a walk, or the dog park. Even with progress over time, Dozier will likely always need more space from unfamiliar dogs. For this reason, we don't think Dozier would be successful in a high-density environment or apartment/condo building. -Access to outdoor environments without a lot of dogs. This could be a home with more distance between houses, a yard with a 6-foot tall privacy fence (he can jump over 4-foot fences), or someone who is willing to go to less busy environments for walks. His foster home is on a walking path with people and dogs passing by but we take him to business developments, schools after hours, roads near the edge of town, cemeteries, and SniffSpots for walks and quality outdoor time. -Someone who can be patient with Dozier and make choices that help him manage his reactivity. The fewer opportunities he has to react, the better. -Someone who is willing to build a strong relationship with Dozier. With the help of anti-anxiety medication and building trust, Dozier's confidence is growing. -Someone who will love him! Dozier has lots of love to give and is such a good, sweet boy!

Story
Hi! I'm Boudreaux, aka Boo! I am from Missouri! Hey there, I'm Boudreaux, and I'm a bundle of joy with a tail that never stops wagging! I'm still a playful pup with heaps of energy, so I'm looking for someone who's up for a little adventure and can help me master the art of leash walking and not jumping on people when I'm super excited (I promise, I'm working on it!). I've got a serious soft spot for squeaky toys-I could run around with those forever! Tennis balls? Not so much. But tug-of-war? Oh, count me in! One of our neighbor's dogs came over barking like crazy, but I was like, "Hey there, wanna play? When we met (on leash, of course), I was the perfect gentleman. The other dog wasn't into it, so it was a quick meet-and-greet, but I was totally chill and would be thrilled to have a furry friend to hang out with! Car rides? Well, I'm still warming up to them. I'm a bit unsure about jumping in, but once I'm in, I'm a relaxed passenger-just chillin' and enjoying the ride! I'm your go-to squirrel patrol specialist. I only bark when there's a sneaky squirrel in sight, but otherwise, I'm pretty mellow. I'm a strong guy, so leash training will help us walk together like pros. Thankfully I am super treat motivated (and smart of course) so it makes training a breeze. Ready to make some fun memories together? Let's do this!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxMeet Bonnaroo! This handsome fella needs a strong, gentle pack leader who will not allow him to be in charge.  Yes he is a big boy and can be a bit overwhelming to some but when he knows you are the boss because you guide him to do the right thing, he is all yes ma’am, yes sir.  He will need continued training and yes, we have a trainer already set up to work with him.  We just need a adopter who is willing to put in the time for socialization and training.  He will thrive in an environment that has boundaries and expectations for him to follow. He is true to his people and although needs a minute to be ok with strangers, once he is comfortable, he is all snuggles and happy wiggles. He is housebroken and crate trained and walks well on a leash.  Right now he prefers to be the only dog in the home.  He can be around other dogs, but is a bit awkward and wants to show them he is the boss.  Yes, the trainer will help with that.   Look at that face…. Won’t you help Bonnaroo be all he can be??   If you have filled out an application please just email adoptionatmars@gmail.com   If you are a previous foster please email fosteratmars@gmail.com   Let's get this big guy home!!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
Star was rescued in Louisiana. A lady that found her called me and said that she could not find a rescue group in Louisiana to take her. She had a gunshot wound through her jaw and ear. She was in pain. She brought her to me in Mississippi, and I got her the medical treatment that she needed. She had jaw surgery, and now her tongue permanently hangs out. We think this makes her uniquely special!! I know that her tongue hanging out may be a deterrent for a permanent home, but Star is such a sweet baby. She cannot help it that somebody shot her. She is a Catahoula hound, and her tail is docked. Star is a very sweet and loves to ride in the car. She loves dogs, and she loves children. She loves to roll over for a belly rub, and she knows the sit command. She is extremely smart. She loves to load up and ride in the car, and I believe that she was somebody’s baby at one time! Star has been in foster care and boarding for a while, and she wants a forever home! Also, if you live out of state, we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We alternate between the Northeast and the Midwest every other weekend. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee.
